Does Mr. Cliffy ever come around anymore?

He was permabanned then he made some alt accounts that got banned, pretty sure he was permabanned on Resetera as well.

Okay so base on the sales for this year does anyone have a guess for switch q4 2024 sales worldwide.

I'm guessing 2.9m if japanese sales are 1/4 of switch sales

EDIT: Sorry, wrong post...  :/

Switch will remain competitive with 2023 for a few more weeks but then the crazy run it had that year from week 18 till 41 will begin. It's still doing really well for its age though and with the PS5 even lower this week seems demand for Japanese PS5's might have actually sharply declined last month for whatever reason.

Well Switch might be doing close to 2018 numbers after all this year.

There is no chance of that happening cause it's probably not selling over 100k a single week this holiday season so even if it's still a bit ahead of 2018 by week 45 it'll fall behind a lot the remaining several weeks.

Yep, it can’t compete with 2018 holiday.

Q4 Sales

2017-~1.7 million

2018-~1.7 million

2019-~2.0 million

2020-~2.0 million

2021-~1.7 million

2022-~1.4 million

2023-~1.1 million

Regardless of what releases this holiday, Q4 sales will continue the downward trend so Switch will need to build a massive lead over 2017/2018 by the end of Q3 to compete with them.

I don't see Switch finishing ahead of 2018.  If it finishes above 2.5M that would be very solid and above 3M would be amazingly fantastic.  However, I do think Switch is selling extremely well right now to be outselling the typical 2018 week in its eighth year on the market.

For sure, it’s doing amazing.

Based on trends it's looking like a 0.8m Q4 and about 2.7m total for the year so the Switch's eighth year will be significantly better than the 3DS's fifth. Pretty insane.
