Probably about 200 € or a bit less... plus a cheap PC for my living room, in which I repurposed an old GPU... and later a proper gaming PC. Excluding hardware, it's about 200 €, but hardware alone cost more than 2000 € this year. I'm just happy I don't have to upgrade too often, especially considering the current GPU situation.

Honestly 2023 was probably one of the smaller years for me in regards to gaming purchases.

I mainly bought a few exclusives and left it at that.

Hardware wise, nothing new released that was notable, so no additional hardware purchases.

Excluding buying a PS5 (God of War Ragnarok Bundle for $500) and a Xbox Series X (for $350).

I had a lot of disposable income in 2023 due to bonuses, promotions, etc

I dont think I'll be spending as much as I did in 2023 or 2022 going forward.

Also I only bought two games at full price*  - Super Mario RPG and Super Mario Bros Wonder

(* - nintendo vouchers)

To  compare it to previous years.....

2023 was an expensive year regardless - Trip to London, Trip to Paris, buying a new TV and new sound system, etc.

I probably shouldn't add it all up :/

Hardware wise: PSVR2 CotM bundle + charging dock; Gaming PC, Gaming chair and Mac Book for my kids, couple controllers.

Software wise: TotK, Pikmin 3, Wonder, Dead Space remake, RE4 remake, Lords of the Fallen, Spiderman 2, BG3 all day 1 purchases.
PSVR2: Song in the Smoke, Starwars Galaxy Edge physical.

Spend on PSN store: CAD 1,609.11 ($1068 without tax converted to USD) (That includes BG3 CAD 105.64 since no physical edition)
That's mostly on PSVR2 games and DLC for Puzzling Places and Synthriders.

It's been an expensive year for gaming thanks to PSVR2 getting me excited about games again. Many of the games I've bought for PSVR2 and flat I have not played yet so I'm already set for this year. I haven't played Pikmin 3, Dead Space and Lords of the Fallen yet, kinda bought those for my kids to enjoy. Simply no time to play it all!

Out of all my purchases, only one disappointment, BG3. Should have gotten it on PC although dunno, I wasn't jiving with the all over the place campaign and 4 party limit either.

Best, RE8 PSVR2 yet I bought RE8 in 2022 already, so RE4 PSVR2 is my most enjoyed purchase this year.
Most time spend with TotK, although Puzzling places is catching up.

About 65 USD.
1 year of PS Essential and Ghost of Tsushima (both on sale prices).

I spent record low 25 euros.

My Etsy store

My Ebay store

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

I don't even remember. I think the only thing I got was Tears of the Kingdom. So that would be €70. But I bought the Special Edition which was €100something, so that.

I spent a ton on steam.

I dont really keep track... but probably below 250$/€.
I dont often "early adopt/day1" with games, I usually wait for good deals ect.

One of my favorite games is free 2 play (path of exile).

My game software spending 2024 (so far) compared to year 1 BSD (before Steam Deck)
