What is your feeling about Series perfs at the moment ?

Does it still ahead of 360 ?

Could it beat One at the end ?

NPD/Circana out yesterday and now Europe report out today. I'm going to write up the daily news then work on the Europe estimates and have them up later today and hopefully worldwide up tomorrow.

Best of luck and keep strong my friend. A lot of words to type.

From memory Series is still ahead of X360 but most likely won't outsell X1 in the end.

I believe launch aligned it is still ahead of the 360, though that will change pretty quickly at this rate.

2024 would have to be a drastic turn around for the Xbox Series to have any chance of outselling the Xbox One. I don't see it happening.

The question I ask myself is how bad do Xbox sales need to get before Minecraft and Call of Duty aren't the only games MS is releasing on PlayStation and Nintendo. We might find that out in the next couple of years.

Yeah a lot of typing the next couple of days.

Correct the Xbox Series X|S is still tracking ahead of the Xbox 360, but that gap is closing. Here is the worldwide comparison through October.

It's mindblowing how there's a real chance the Series X|S end up being the 2nd lowest selling Xbox ever, only doing better than the og xbox

You really wouldn't expect the Series to be free falling in Europe at this kind of rate during the big time of the year already, but it seems even their biggest titles ain't able to move the needle against PlayStation which has the biggest territory advantage there, like Nintendo has Japan all to itself.

Yeah the huge decline of XBox is something. Talk about a 'cliff'. At the start of this generation, I was at least thinking it would do a bit better than XBox One and chip away a bit of Sony's marketshare, because they seemed to be doing things right. But now, it's just been left in the dust.

What exactly have they been doing right, though?

The Xbox X is more expensive while offering no more power than what the PS5 does at a cheaper price point.

Their software output has been inconsistent and weak, to say the least. Their biggest game in years, supposedly the biggest wRPG this generation, has completely failed to live up to the hype, scoring less than every other RPG on meteoritic released this year including FF16, its steam score continues to drop (currently at 6/10). The other big release was Red Fall, this one speaks for itself. HiFi Rush has been the high point. Here is the kicker, all games that would've made it to the scene with MS buying Bethesda or not, so why would any neutral gamer be happy with games that would've existed either way is beyond me.

Gamepass has stagnated and it's not like it was an innovative service or anything, it's already been addressed by the competition to an adequate degree. The base subscription has been a complete joke compared to PSN Essentials.

Imo, despite the poor sales, Xbox Series have exceeded my expectations, not because of anything they've done right, but because they really got lucky with the pandemic and PS5 supply shortages.

It is losing ground very fast, will be behind maybe my middle of next year?
