According to the rumors there will be more than one Switch 2, they will differ at least storage wise which will be up to 512GB, therefore multiple prices.

If that ends up being the case then it'd probably be 128gb version at $350 and 512gb version at $400.

Actually it would be interesting if they did a real basic model and a premium model right out of the gate (not just storage size difference). Like an LCD and 64gb version for a decent price like $320, and then a premium version with OLED and 512gb which they could then be fine pricing right at $400 since it would be advertised as the premium model so it's alright if it is above consumer-friendly/expected-Nintendo prices. That way cost-conscience people wouldn't have to be paying $350 or more just to get the system and therefore would be more likely to buy the system, but you'd still have plenty of people paying more and giving Nintendo extra revenue by going for the expensive premium model.

This would probably be a much better play by Nintendo than just releasing a single model somewhere between $350-$400. And just make better battery versions of the same models later on like Nintendo did with the original Switch model.

They could later on then still do a Lite at <$250 like $230 or something. And instead of doing the OLED later on, since the OLED would have come out at launch, they could do a Switch Home 4k model later on for same price as the non-premium hybrid model, considering it'd be a little more powerful for 4k and premium performance but wouldn't need stuff like a screen and battery.

Then the whole Switch2 family eventually would be Lite, Hybrid, 4k-Home, and OLED Hybrid for say like $250/$320/$320?/$400.

lol 0% chance, but I assume you're joking. This would be a perfect way for them to guarantee a bad generation for Nintendo haha

I wish I was, but the thing about being a casual Nintendo enjoyer for so long is, it's literally impossible to predict their next move

I think the regular Switch will be phased out and the OLED model will replace its $299.99 price tag then Switch 2 will take the $349.99 spot.

Either 350 or 400. Im not sure, but I will guess 350.

My thoughts exactly

399 is the minimum. Anybody saying they will charge 300 USD is not paying attention to inflation

If Nintendo sells it to 300 USD (less than Switch OLED) it's 100% guaranteed they will need to take hardware loses for 1 or 2 years

That's fine

Mario, Zelda and Pokémon will get all the money back for them

And I'm not being sarcastic, even after playing Pokémon (which I enjoyed tbh)

I went with $450, a lot of the inflation we saw over the last 2-3 years in computer hardware is going to be more or less permanently locked in unfortunately. I cannot see a way for Nintendo to hit a $350 price point, and I think $400 would be the absolute cheapest they could make work

But they've literally never made an expensive system. Part of their brand is that they AREN'T one of the expensive systems like Xbox and Playstation. The one thing we know for sure is they won't put out an overly expensive system, which means $400 is definitely the absolute most we'll see.

$399 will be the max. This is Nintendo, not Xbox/Playstation. $300 won't happen sure. But I don't think anyone is saying $300 anyways. They could totally do a cheaper version less than $350 and a more expensive version $400 or a little bit less though.

Let's not forget, Switch was rumored to cost under $260 in 2017. Everything on the original model has gotta be super cheap at this point so it probably is not much more than $200 despite inflation. OLED probably only costs a good amount more because of the ethernet port which I think costs like $30 or something, I don't think the OLED screen is a huge amount more than the LCD, so it's gotta be under $300 cost.

If Switch 2 comes out with, for instance, a cheaper version and a premium version the cheap version could use LCD instead of OLED, and not have ethernet port, and a small bump up to say 64gb. Basically very similar to Switch except with $80-100 more processing power. They could probably make it for $300 or less, and if they've got a higher profit premium model and if the whole point of a cheaper model is to keep it affordable, they'd probably be fine only take say a $20 profit or so and selling it around $320 in order to make is very popular and make sure Switch sells well so that they continue to make massive software profits which is the important thing.

We have no idea what they are making, but >$400 is not happening, and certainly $399 is not the minimum haha, that'll be the absolute maximum and only for a premium model in the case of different models or just a high end single model, but if they only do single model/version at launch it is extremely unlikely it will be $400 because that will lose them their base of people who want an affordable system. Nintendo does weird things sometimes, but they are an affordable brand, and they aren't gonna have a PS3 blunder where they jack up the price by hundreds. Whatever comes out will be more than $300 and less than $400.

399$ for sure. A bit higher for a flagship nintendo product but with inflation it will def be atleast that price. They saw they can afford to sell the Switch which is a lot less powerful (assuming) to 300$ for years, they can pull off 400$. I wouldn't be surprised if they try the 449$ but that might be a little too much.

$350 is the screen is an LCD. $400 if it's an OLED.
