where the hell is Littlebigplanet or Ratchet and Clank

I've only listed games that sold over 8 million copies.

Ratchet and clank series has sold over 26 million copies as of june 2013.

Ratchet and clank Rift apart has sold 1.1 million copies in one month.

Little big planet 1 has sold over 4 million copies.

That's all the data i could find on those two Franchises.

I find it odd how Sony refuses to give us updated sales numbers for Ratchet and Clank. Rift Apart sold very well in it's first month. It set a new record for the series. So sales can't be that bad.

Yeah, They are definitely weird when it comes to providing sales figures for their games.

Ratchet and Clank (2016), GT Sport, Days gone and GT7 never got official sales figures from Sony even though they most likely sold pretty well.

Did GT Sport never get an official sales update?

I remember the 8M number going on, but it probably was based into the series total figures we get for GT from time to time. Which may not be exact but it's pretty decent to estimate over.

I wonder if GT7 will be able to get closer to past ones on sales.
It's a pretty damn good game, even if the "story mode" is not really that good.
The PSVR2 mode was also extremely well received from what I saw, but that hardly matters to its overall sales.

The VR mode for Gran Turismo 7 received a lot of praise, both from critics and the users.

It's really sad that not a lot of people got to play it yet, much because of how expensive the PSVR2 is.

Yeah, the pricing of the PSVR2 plus the price you have to pay for the PS5 to be able to use it as well makes it extremely hard to make a great VR game a system seller, because it really is a lot of money.

May be ambitious, but I wonder if GT7 will be able to hit the 10 million mark by fiscal year's end, and whether GT Sport ever will. GTS jumped from 9.5 million players in Feb 2021 to 14 million in Feb 2022, so I imagine it's fairly close to clearing 10 million sold. 8 million is the floor I think.

GT7 is far more successful, especially in dollar sales. With a PC version down the road, I can see it beating GT3 to become the best selling game in the series.

Spider-Man is probably at well above 25 million at this point when counting the PC version and Miles Morales Ultimate. May be at 30 million even.

Overall, Sony games popularity blew up in the 2nd half of PS4's life, but their sales on consoles considerably declined after PS5's launch. Strong results still all things considered (Services growing, slow generational transition, PC support, game prices, etc).

Woah, I come to comment on GT7 sales and as soon as the post goes in I see the one right before it (yours) was about the same thing xD

Great minds think alike :)

I got GT7 with PSVR2 and a steering wheel this year, and it's simply a phenomenal experience. My favorite Sony game in a long time. BUT... VR's motion sickness/nausea unfortunately proved a real bitch, and I don't have a wheel stand (nor a shifter), so setting everything up is a total mess.

I may play it again when I move to a new house with a bigger room!

Even as I've never tried VR I'm quite sure it won't be for me, couldn't ever get used to 3D movies, imagine with a big headset right in front of my eyes...

I hope you can get used to it and stop having that motion sickness, tho.
