Argonaut Games (or Argonaut Software as some of us may remember them as) founder Jez San, tweeted almost a month and a half ago that Croc: Legend of the Gobbos was getting an HD Remaster! He said it was early in development, but with it being a remaster rather than a full-on remake, hopefully we don't have to wait too long before it releases! Croc was one of those 90s platforming mascots that has since been lost to time.

I was a huge fan of both mainline Croc games! So while it appears that it's only the first game getting the remaster treatment, I for one welcome this news with open arms!!! Idk how I missed out on this announcement.

I enjoyed it back in the day. They would need to completely overhaul the controls though. Those have not aged well.

Is Croc 2 good? I only played the first one.

Absolutely! It would be game suicide to remaster a title that is a quarter century old and not at least bring the controls to modern standards. 

I'm not expecting the visuals to be Mario Odyssey level or anything like that. As long as the game controls as good as a platformer can feel in 2023, I'll be more than happy.

I remember loving the first game much more compared to the second. 

The second game had a surprisingly high difficulty. 

I played the original again on an emulator not too long ago. But I also have a ROM for the second game, so I'll have to play it again soon for a refresher.
