I just realized that, once again, Xenoblade X has been forgotten. How is it that that particular game has been sidelined and forgotten when the Switch has gotten three Xenoblade titles plus DLC?

That is exactly why. They don't want to create Xenoblade fatigue.

And to add to this, I think if they were to rebuild the Xeno X, I'd prefer them to do it on the next platform so they can get a higher fidelity target than what they had to work with the Switch.

Mira would never have the chance to look this much better otherwise. Though like Takahashi said in interviews, X was quite the costly game to create at the time so it prolly would take more ressources to do rebuild it than what was done with Xenoblade 1.

Anywoo, it's in their hands now that they're gonna do next. Personally, I'd like for them to simply have a new project to show for the Super Switch launch window before the next Xenoblade game show up.

Easily Super Mario Bros Wonder

Super Mario Wonder was the game showcased that interested me the most. I found the New Super Mario Bros games really bland and generic feeling, but Wonder looks like a lot of fun.

That's why I'm puzzled they haven't tried to re-release it to recoup the costs, especially now that the Switch is on an all time high and the Xenoblade series has had three successful releases.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

It never lost them money to begin with and risking to cannibalize franchise sales would be way worse than just rereleasing it later.

First of all Xenoblade X is a very different experience compared to the other Xenoblades, and considering they've been willing to release 3 full games, 2 standalone expansions and a bonus epilogue for the frist game over Switch's lifespan, I doubt they're concerned about franchise fatigue.

Second, I actually played the game again a bit over a year ago before Xenoblade 3 was announced, and though the gameplay still holds up the visuals don't have nearly the same wow factor from 2015 on modern screens. It honestly just looked a bit flat and dull, but the core art style and world design are still impressive enough, that if they were to remaster it for a next-gen 1440p+ system with some modern lighting and whatnot, it could be awe-inspiring again.

My hope is that they would use something like that as an easy launch window title, while also announcing a new Xenoblade X game and giving the mainline series a rest, since that's been thoroughly done on Switch now.

LM2 by far. Never played it and loved 1 and 3.

It's a bit different, being mission based, but it has imo the best dialogue in the franchise with E. Gadd in part thanks to being mission based, since that gives a lot of opportunities for funny dialogue between missions.

It was a happy surprise given I wasn't expecting it.  And it gives me hope for a LM4.
