Some of my favorite gaming reveals watching the N64 and Gamecube showings at E3 and Spaceworld. E3 will be missed, but its time to step aside, all the directs these days are great fun, and it's nice to get them out of the blue.

PlayStation usually had memorable reveals.
"$300" was pretty epic.
"599 US dollars" was pretty epic, for the opposite reason.
Then there was this gem. This is also the last time I really paid attention to E3.
That said, I like Directs better. Also, I always wanted to attend the Tokyo Game Show.
E3 was dead the first time they decided to close it to the public, all of the hype died down. Ever since it has been dying a slow death before our eyes. Good riddance, it hasn't been relevant in at least half a decade.

E3 was basically dead the moment PlayStation, Nintendo and Microsoft didn't bother to show up anymore. Their shows where by far the most popular and iconic.
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Other shows may replace it, but none of the shows will be able to replace its spectacle, and the sheer force with which E3 gripped the gaming industry and gamers as a collective. Sometimes, progress truly does yield a lesser experience--and this is definitely one such time.

Man, I forgot all about that drummer kid. Talk about dying on stage. lol
Maybe online presentations from devs will become more fun, like adding more crazy skits.
