^^ I edited the above post to make it somewhat readable (but still not ideal).

According to MediaCreate, PS5 is already ahead of Switch YTD!

Thanks!  I made a mess of it. lol

Big differences between Media Create and Famitsu numbers. Hopefully Famitsu adjusts as time goes on.

Media Create numbers are until March 5th whilst Famitsu numbers are until February 26th. But yes, seems to be a difference even without that 1 week

But we can expect these numbers for the week ending on March 5th in Japan:

NSW ≈55k

PS5 ≈47k

Xbox Series ≈ -4k (Yes, MINUS).

How is that even possible

If Famitsu ended up having the same monthly numbers as Media Create XBS would need negative sales, which obviously isn't the case.

Ps5 78k
Switch 66k

Still doing ridiculously high numbers for a non handheld…… I am wondering how long it can keep this going….. over 60k weekly for a month and a half now

It is the best opening 10 weeks of a year for a PlayStation home console since the PS2 in 2005. 2005 and 2002 are the only two years PS2 had a stronger first 10 weeks.
