Forums - Sony - PlayStation |OT| Playing Astro Bot on the Horizon Until Dawn

Looks like a nice free upgrade for base PS5 owners.

I haven;t had time to properly deep dive but this announcement gives me so much joy. Image quality is my main issue with the current generation, even sometimes in 30fps modes. I hope devs deploy it widely.

I could see a Sumo Digital and XDev collab for Ape Escape.

They did have another rumored project with Sony a while back.

Could work, not a bad idea. Though I would've preferred an Astro x Sackboy crossover with a sequel to Sackboy's Adventure haha.

At least, I hope the new Ape Escape has local MP.

Man, a new Ape Escape would be massive. That makes for two TLoU projects, an Uncharted game, GoW Trilogy, and now Ape Escape— is Sony about to make the comeback of the decade? They’ve had a fine generation, don’t get me wrong (well as far as software releases are concerned…), but we are definitely long overdue for many SP projects like Ratchet, Sly, ND, and so forth.

There's also the rumored Killzone remake and the inFamous project.

I think 2027 will be one of the best years ever for Sony, both critically and commercially, even without the PS6 launch. Until Dawn 2, Kena, and Laufey are confirmed, with Intergalactic likely, and the rumored Animal Crossing inspired game from Media Molecule. And whatever else may be announced like GT8: Prologue. So it's hard to call a bunch of IP revival a comeback, when we're potentially looking at the peak year of PlayStation first party production, next year.

It looks like Evening Star is the rumored developer of the new Ape Escape.

Naughty Dogs really needs to drop a new trailer for Intergalactic The Heretic Prophet.

On the surface this seems like a good combination. Now Sony just needs to get AE2 onto the new emulator and then finally release AE3.

World be great, but with Until Dawn 2, Kena 2 and Laufrey, I think it's ok if they wait till next year. I want to see more on Fairgames/ Break In. The footage from Project Espresso shows promise.

Killzone
Ape Escape
Uncharted
SLY FUGGIN COOPER!!!!

If we also get the likes of WipEout, Resistance, and SOCOM, I may have a heart attack. Sony definitely got my attention! And odds are that these games will be cross-gen are pretty high.
