While nothing touches Elfman 2002 Spider-Man theme. This is the next best thing. Opening almost feels like a tribute.

Oh man, I loved blitzball lol!

I remember recruiting Cid and absolutely dominating every other team. 

I lost hundreds of hours to Blitzball. I loved it as a mini-game and honestly the lack of a mini-game in XVI is one of my only nitpicks.

Yeah that was pretty crazy ngl lol. Didn't expect that, like at all. That and I'm in constant awe with scale of the big boss battles, which goes even more batshit insane.

It could be because PlatinumGames actually helped them build those parts in the game lol

Ah that makes a lot of sense. Some of the fights do have some of PG's old goodness in there. And how they like to lean into how ludicrous it gets.

Haven't played it yet so please avoid major spoilers for me, but what do you XVI players think about this criticism of the game's story?:

Agree? Disagree?

Only crits I'm hearing about the story is the ending, but I'm not there yet. 

There might be more to it then that, but I'm trying not to see them as well as console warriors spoiling the story.
