Forums - Sony - PlayStation Nation |OT| Playing Astro Bot on the Horizon Until Dawn

With the slight delay of SAROS the calendar looks like this so far:

- The Show, March.
- Marathon, March (or so Sony said last month).
- SAROS, April 20.
- GoY Legends (counting it in because I like it lol and because GoT Legends got a stand alone ver).
- Tokon.
- Wolverine, late 2026.

I'm expecting for them to add the Horizon Multiplayer in February but Fairgames could be chosen instead. Also no remasters so far lol.

Tokon, Wolverine and Phantom Blade all look like they'll move consoles. GTA6 obviously will.

Should be a good year for Sony next year.

I'm excited to learn more about meta progression in Saros. I need more viable options to getting overall stronger for me to be interested.

Ananta could also be huge (PS5/PC/Mobiles)

Excited for quite a few games and shocked to see that phantom blade trailer is based on PS5 code... Looks amazing.

My one gripe and a current trend at the moment is so many hack and slashers/action RPGs. I wish a lot of these new fantasy games diversified in genre/gameplay a bit more.

Phantom Blade seems great! I'm currently playing Where Winds Meet, a fantastic game that feels like a mix of Souls/Sekiro, Breath of the Wild, FF14, and a bit of Tomb Raider wrapped with Wuxia and Chinese culture goodness... and HEAPS of bugs/glitches...

China and Korea to an extent are adding a lot to the industry, but it's unfortunate that they lack diversity. They're primarily Souls-like, blade action, and Genshin Impact like, most of them gacha at that. This is contributing to the current trend.

My Top 3 new PS5-Games this Year:

1. Ghost of Yotei. I enjoyed every detail in this breathtaking world (100 hours). And the animals in game... have won my heart.
And than, Its hard to say.. Digimon Story Time Stranger (good JRPG, It deserves more attention) or Death Stranding 2 (game is definitely a matter of taste, but the graphics and some of the ideas are very cool. And it has no loading times) ^^

As somebody who hasn’t even played any of these games centered around a samurai protag (e.g. Ghost of Tsushima/Yotēi, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Phantom Blade Zero, Rise of Ronin, Sekiro), I must confess that I am getting very fatigued on this style of gameplay. Phantom Blade Zero, for instance, looks like an incredibly fun game!… but I feel like I’ve seen like five or six games that look just like it, having already done a good enough job.

2026 is shaping to be a great year.

Top tier hype:
-Nioh 3
-Ace Combat 8
-Tokon
-Resident Evil 9 (because of Leon)

Mid tier hype:
-Pokémon gen 10
-Saros
-Pragmata
-GTA 6 (tech leap moments are always great)
-The Duskbloods (hopefully it has good offline, potential to skyrocket if so, or drop down if not)
-Ghost of Yotei Legends (playing Tsushima Legends recently, actually liking it quite a lot)

Low tier hype:
-Wolverine
-Code Vein 2
-Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Liking what I'm seeing so far. I should be getting invited to the next closed beta, so I'll see how different the game is now but some very welcome additions here! Damn, I actually had a code this entire time and didn't check lol. I'll have to play tonight if the beta is still going. I'm not entirely buying everything that is being promised in the ViDoc because Bungie has never missed on ViDoc's, but they have missed on things they promise in them whether completely missing or half-baked. Having a few OG Halo devs be the first people you see talking is pretty funny though lol. Can only assume that's meant to be an assurance booster.

$40 price tag confirmation.

The irony of the lore being about greedy corporations and how those corporations are looking to recoup from their investments is certainly not lost on me lol.
