Its funny how when Sony requires a PSN account to play their games on PC the narrative is "Sony is bad they just want to increase their user numbers".

When MS forces xbox account to play their games on other platform the narrative is "Giga brain trojan horse 4 dimensional chess move! Xbox is taking over PS5 now"

I've never seen such desperate and delusional hard coping mental gymnastics from ANY console/PC/handheld fanbase besides xbox.

Finished FFVII Rebirth and low-key hated the story telling & script writing. Very padded, badly paced, convoluted and I think a big turn off for those are not looking at it without Nostalgia tinted googles. No Spoilers but for example Sephiroth appears so much as visions/delusions, that his real presences looses all weight/meaning to it. A lot of unneccessary repitition with a few plot points like the cloaked figures & Zack.

Overall world and character building was great, combat is some of the best in the genre, gameplay outside of combat was a bit hit & miss but very diverse. Art and music is of course amazing.

For me it was too hit and miss quality wise to score the 90s it received but its a great game.

Yeah.. that’s a complete deal breaker for me. Was bad enough having to create a MS account for Xbox, ain’t no way I’m creating one for PS5.

Already watching sites trying to squish the xbox leaks news to talk about the possibility of PS Studios games being available on xbox if it has Steam integrated.

Just remember one thing guys, many years ago a streaming service was launched to play your Steam games from the browser (when and how it's called I don't remember because I don't play on pc lol but I think it was a NVIDIA product). Many people were talking about how you would be able to play God of War on xbox and how PS wasn't necessary anymore etc etc. What end up happening? ALL PS Studios were were blocked with the obvious exception of Death Stranding (at that time Death Stranding was still under the consideration of being a "PS game").

What is going to happen now? Sony will most likely talk to Valve to block their games on xbox consoles even if the consoles have a native Steam app. That's all.

Is Valve able to distinguish what device you are using to access Steam to be able to block it?

I'm not a PC gamer, so I'm unfamiliar with how this works.

Edit: Secondly, would Valve just block it out of the goodness of their heart, or would they want monetary compensation for each game?

It should be able because as a company all the data you can get about how people consume your product has value to make business decisions and based in the fact that Steam identifies when you are playing on steamdeck with a little icon the answer is pretty much yes.
