Hiroki Totoki spoke about Sony not having enough IP's a few months ago.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sony attempts to try and acquire Kadokawa down the line once again. Perhaps they follow the Bungie acquisition timeline (6MO) and increased their stake to prevent any takeovers before they can get it done. But I think its clear Sony is looking to add more to their entertainment portfolio.

Yeah, in a gaming industry where new IPs are considered very risky, it's no surprise that acquiring established IPs is something many companies are wanting. 

Meanwhile, there's 11 PlayStation IPs that I would love to see make a return lol

I think its a bit inevitable too after Activision and more recently with Ubisoft looking to sell.

As long as they're all tracking for 2025 to Q1 2026 that would be great. I don't like games being announced more than 2 years before launch. But I can know more than 2-6 months in advance.
