So who owns the Elden Ring IP?

I thought From Software bought the rights to it earlier this year, but a few on Era and Install Base disagree. Is it a similar situation to Pokemon?

Not a FS expert but heard exactly the same of them buying the rights from Bandai earlier this year from a couple of people who are pretty hardcore in all the FS frenzy.

Sekiro is the other IP that actually belongs to them and that is quite funny. Sony paid and own the game that started it all and the game that many consider the best, Bandai paid and own the franchise that defined the studio and Activision only paid to publish a pretty cool game outside Japan (???).

LOL

Great!

Missed the preorder for the Dualsense and they had no stock for the actual launch day.

Already going for a small fortune here, nice pick.

That does seem to be the case.

Bamco still owns Dark Souls but if FromSoft wanted to publish another game like it they could just do Demon's Souls 2 I suppose.

What are your thoughts on the rumored PlayStation handheld?

I think a more robust Portal could be very successful, but Sony doesn't have enough first party developers to support two platforms, and it limits what they can do. I wonder how something like PSSR could be utilized in this space.

Well the rumor is that it plays PS5 games. Insinuating it won't require a separate library. Which honestly wouldn't be the first time Sony has done something like this. It would remind me of the PSone when the PS2 was releasing.

I would buy it in a heartbeat though! PSSR would absolutely be heavily utilized on such a device if they're wanting to play PS5 games natively on the device. If it's still years out, PSSR would be a great state by then.

I wonder if we'd be in a cross gen situation next generation where PS5/PS6/PS5 Portable are all getting the same games for a while.

Graphics can be pretty scalable, a lot of this depends on how it gets worked.

I think it's extremely essential that it plays the same games. Sony doesn't have the developer power to support two platforms.

Sony aren't going to support 2 platforms. It'll either be a handheld PS5 or a handheld PS6.

57 games deep this year, really scratching the bottom of the barrel for what to play. Decided to pick up Mass Effect Legendary for £5.99 in the sale. Nice 100hr replay should keep me occupied till next year..

I'll buy if it gives me access to my PS4/PS5 library.

I dont want a dedicated/exclusive library.

You could download some PS3 games to the Vita and play them there. I did for Resogun. Grim Fandango. FF7 and a couple others.
