Happy mini-election night.
My take: Dems (and Mamdani) won everything that mattered, but most of it was expected. When the numbers really settle down we'll see what the margins say but for tonight I'm going to bed fairly content.

Harris won NJ and VA by around 6%. Looks like the Dems will win governor races by twice that amount, if not a little more.

Voted for a Labor candidate today, and he seems to have won haha.
He ran as a Labor candidate and not a Democrat, because my county only allows political parties to put up one candidate for the two at-large council seats, and historically Republicans took one and Democrats the other. Nobody thought to run as third party apparently, until now. Ballot was Labor vs. Republican, and the choice was obvious.
Also Pennsylvania's court races swept cleanly in the Democrat's favor. Basically 60% of the state voted to retain our Democratic-leaning state Supreme Court justices, superior court justices, etc.
Hope Republicans start thinking about what they should be doing now to survive "after Trump."
The Dems completely swept Virginia. I thought Miyares would keep the AG seat, as the polls were looking bad for Jones. But Jones won the poll that mattered.
Anyone has links to the election results from last night?

One other key vote: California Prop 50, a direct response to Texas’s redistricting, passed.
Cuomo actually did better than the polls were predicting, but it looks like it came at the expense of Sliwa (probably the result of Trump's last-minute endorsement), as Mamdani still got just over half of the vote overall.
