Why do you guys even respond. He pretty much posted the EXACT same post some weeks ago before his last ban.

Well it's a permaban now iirc, so I just had to correct him.

Trump marches on DC and the frog continues to boil. I feel so much rage and depression over where this country is going.

We're already there, man. Let's get real: we are, at this point, some kind of police state. I'm calling it. I mean when the guy can literally get away with taking bribes, is actually allowed to overrule the constitution by executive order, and invades and militarily occupies cities of this country in an increasingly routine and casual way without repercussion (y'know, prior leaders might have invaded other countries, but the Trump administration has put America first), I don't think there's any sober way around that conclusion, and that's all before you even get to the increasing tendency of the universities and the media to self-censor for fear of being sued. Also, while we still seem to have halfway functioning elections for the time being, I would make a mental note of the curiously high number of Democratic officials who've been jailed and even killed this year so far. In fact as I write this, practically the entire Democratic slice of my state's legislature is under threat of arrest. We are now a fascist country. It depresses me too.

Meh, going after criminals is a good thing, doesn't matter if their is an another reason why he does it, it is a fact that people in the West are so fed up with criminals getting away with so much stuff especially young teens who beat people up, getting arrested all the time for theft and all they get is some probation because they are 14-17 years old. Trump wins voted with going after them, the question is why no one else dit it before and why so many other countries in the West are so soft...

Case in point.

I agree, why don't we start with the one in the oval office?

That's fine by me, but let's face it, if it's true that illegal bording crossings are down, if it is true that riots are down in L.A. and if the Oval Office can make the murder/crime rate go down a lot in DC then the Republican Party will be known as the Party that stands for Law and Order and who can be against it?

It seems the general population wants it and then see Democrats who are against it and try to turn it in to some Race bait thing or sum up how many vacation days Trump took, does it really matter?

Sure, you can get quick results with extreme measures, but there's also the question if that's truly worth it. Officially there wasn't a whole lot of criminals in Nazi Germany. But the government itself was criminal in every way imaginable. In the Soviet Union there were very little violent crimes and such. Khrushchev once even dreamt of a crime-free soviet union. Well, of course the government was corrupt as can be, but that wasn't counted as a crime.

I'm not saying the US is on the same level as those two. But they are certainly on their way there. They already have a corrupt regime that doesn't care one bit about the people, the constitution or anything else than its own interest. You can fight "crime" (or what you define as such) by spitting on democracy and freedom of people.  But I for one would not want to go down that path.

But that's just me of course, what the hell do I know. =P

An awful lot of evil has been done in the name of "law and order." And crime in DC was never bad enough that I feel that martial law is the answer.

And generally, the people who scream for "law and order" are the most lawless thugs out there. That goes for "law and order" leaders and the people who vote for them.
