US Muslim groups call on Trump to reject Israel’s ‘unprovoked war on Iran’
The US Council of Muslim Organizations, the largest coalition of Muslim groups in the country, has warned that Israel’s “illegal, unnecessary and unprovoked war on Iran … threatens to entangle the United States in more death and destruction”.
In a statement, the group called on Trump to reject Israel’s push for the US to get more involved in the conflict, and to demand that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu immediately halt his country’s attacks.
“Let’s be clear. What we are seeing today echoes the lies that led to the Iraq war,” the organisations said, referring to the false claim in the lead-up to the US invasion of Iraq in 2003 that the country had “weapons of mass destruction”, or WMDs.
“Just as Iraq did not have WMDs, Iran does not have nuclear weapons, was not making nuclear weapons, and was at the negotiating table ready to commit to limiting its uranium enrichment to the amount that can only be used for civilian purposes,” the statement reads.
The groups also tied the Israel-Iran escalation to the “US’s blind support” for Israel’s abuses against Palestinians. “The Israeli government is committed to self-destructive madness – and the American government must stop blindly following this foreign nation into the abyss,” they said.

"The Israeli government's Illegal, unnecessary and unprovoked war on Iran is just the latest example of its relentless violence…

Israel facing ‘no effective pressure’ to stand down
Former US nuclear negotiator Alan Eyre says Israel and Iran are “stuck in a dangerous, escalatory spiral of hostilities”.
“All in all, it seems that Israel had a plan, it’s following the plan, there’s really not effective international pressure on Israel to stop, and so it seems – at least for the time being – that Israel will continue to go after targets it deems it needs to take care of inside Iran,” Eyre told Al Jazeera.
While Trump has said he thinks Israel’s attacks on Iran will encourage Iranian negotiators to agree to a nuclear deal, Eye explained that “anyone with even a cursory knowledge of contemporary Iran realises that that’s very unlikely”.
“If the US thinking is that allowing Israel to go forward with these attacks will put more pressure on Iran and get a better deal for the United States, I think that’s quite unlikely.”
With Israel facing no “effective pressure” both domestically and internationally to halt its attacks, Eyre added that the key question will be what the Israeli government’s goals are.
“Is Israel just seeking to incapacitate Iran’s nuclear program, or is it in fact hoping to push Iran towards some type of regime change by increasing the pressure on the Iranian population?”
It seems Netanyahu is just trying to start a bigger war to stay in power and to distract from the genocide in Gaza and the ethnic cleansing in and annexation of the Westbank.
Iran is talked up as the existential threat to Israel, always has been. A moderate Iran is indeed an existential threat as the Islam 'scare' is the reason used to keep US troops in the ME and support for Israel.
The new Iranian PM, Masoud Pezeshkian elected in 2024, was more interested in talks rather than war as evidenced by Iran not retaliating to prior pot shots and assassinations by Israel since he took office. So Netanyahu felt he had to make sure Iran got back on track to being perceived as the actual threat to Israel and made sure Iran could not ignore their attacks any longer by starting a mass scale bombing campaign.
And of course "WMD in Iraq", now (imminent) Nuclear weapons in Iran is an easy sell to the American public. Trump's 90 day negotiations were just a setup for Israel to start bombing, which Netanyahu had already planned for April.
There was no reason to abandon negotiations which were planned to continue today. Obviously now Iran can't go back to the negotiating table while under fire from Israel and the US. Even though the US isn't actively participating in the bombing, Israel is using US made weapons while hiding behind US' defences including the recently installed THAAD system in Israel and American assets actively helping shooting retaliatory missiles down.
It's very similar to how Settlers behave when they attack. Attack and quickly hide behind the IDF while blaming Palestinians for trying to defend themselves.
How long will the world still continue to buy this bullshit, driven by the mainstream media's one sided reporting.
Trump says ‘many calls, meetings’ taking place, urges Iran-Israel deal
The US president has said Iran and Israel will have peace “soon”.
“Iran and Israel should make a deal, and will make a deal,” Trump said in a post on his Truth Social app.
“We will have peace, soon, between Israel and Iran! Many calls and meetings now taking place,” he wrote, without providing any details.
Israel’s attacks on Iran began even as its staunchest ally, the US, was due to engage in a new round of nuclear negotiations with Iran. However, within hours of Israel launching its large-scale assault on Friday, Trump described the attacks as “excellent” and “very successful”.
Broken Record Trump.
Trump says ‘possible’ US ‘could get involved’ in Israel-Iran conflict
We have more comments from Trump – this time from an interview with ABC News. The US president said “it’s possible we could get involved” in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.
Trump added that the US is “not at this moment involved” in the conflict. He also said he would be “open” to Russian President Vladimir Putin being a mediator. “He is ready. He called me about it. We had a long talk about it,” Trump told ABC.

Netanyahu says Trump informed ahead of attacks on Iran
Talking to Fox News, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu says he informed US President Donald Trump ahead of launching the military campaign on Iran.
He described the cooperation with the current US administration as “unprecedented”, adding that the Israeli intelligence shares “every bit of information” with Washington.
Netanyahu added that regime change in Iran could be a result of Israel’s military attacks. “The issue here is not de-escalation, the issue here is not ceasefire, the issue here is stopping [Iran],” he said, describing the country as a “mortal threat” for Israel as well as Gulf states, the US and Europe.
‘Israel looking for greater US military involvement in Iran’
Meron Rapoport, editor of Israeli news outlet Local Call, says, “It is important for Netanyahu, when he speaks to the international media, to present himself as the leader who is saving the Western world from the evilness of Iran”.
Rapoport was commenting after the Israeli PM’s interview with Fox News from an undisclosed location.
Rapoport added that Netanyahu was not looking for Trump “to bring peace, but more war” through US military involvement. “Some Iranian nuclear facilities are deep in the ground and only the US [can hit them], and I think this is what Netanyahu is looking for,” he said.
Was Iran months away from producing a nuclear bomb?
Israeli officials have argued that the ongoing military operation against Iran was necessary as the country was months away from producing a nuclear weapon.
Al Jazeera’s senior political analyst Marwan Bishara said Israel has no credible evidence to sustain its claim, which the US also knows to be inaccurate.
“Netanyahu played into the same theatre of deception that was played before the war on Iraq in 2003,” he said.
In March, the United States’ Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard told the US Congress that Iran was not building a nuclear weapon and that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei did not authorise the nuclear weapons programme that he suspended in 2003.
Bishara said Netanyahu’s interview with Fox News was reminiscent of a speech given by former US National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice in reference to Iraq’s purported possession of weapons of mass destruction.
The claim that Iraq was actively building nuclear weapons prior to the 2003 US-led invasion was debunked.
No Kings Day turnout estimated between 4 and 6 million people, which could make it the largest single day protest in US history.
People are finally starting to wake up. Hope it continues all the way through 2028.

Posting "These, and other such Cities, are the core of the Democratic Power Center" and claiming they use "illegal Aliens" to cheat in elections and rob from American citizens. Claiming these Democrats are sick and hate America, wanting to destroy American cities. Trying to paint the Democrats as the enemy and claim they're less American than Republicans. Posting this unhinged shit only days after a Trump voter just assassinated a Democratic politician, attempted to assassinate another and had a list of dozens more to assassinate.

Got to say it’s kind of weird for me to keep reading about “No Kings Day” protests and seeing the signs and the images when in my country ‘King’s Day’ is basically our national holiday and everybody is always super happy on that day lol.

Haha, yep I didn't get the reference at first either, neither did my wife and she's Canadian. (So she's used to Queen Elizabeth and now King Charles as King of Canada) I was more used to Koninginnedag or Queen's day though, what I grew up with. Anyway both used to King just meaning some (99%) powerless ceremonial state head. I wish Trump was just that lol.
It really should have been "No Dictator Day" but I guess that's still a bit too controversial for the US public. That's what Trump is aspiring to be.
King's day is one of the things I do miss about The Netherlands, always a great day.
This talking animal has a point.

The problem of unmanly men exists in all other democratic countries too, but it's a lot more pronounced in the USA with its two-party system. I was quite surprised that a thing such as the Manosphere exists, but the demand for something like it demonstrates how many unmanly men there are.
Unfortunately, this problem revolves around stupidity at its most basic level and there's no cure for stupidity yet. I also find the video a bit too long, but whatever.
