I think what bugs me the most isn't even what Trump's doing, it's the fact that no one seems to care - or even thinks these are good things.

The people who claimed that we needed guns to protect ourselves from tyrannical governments are opposed to Ukraine doing that.

The people who claimed that we needed to support armed forces, are spitting on our allies that have supported the US.

The people who have historically been paranoid about US getting taken over by Russia/China, are now celebrating, even though this is basically the closest we've ever been to that.

Decades of rivalry between America and Russia undone in 4 years and all it took was Trump saying "Russia ain't so bad guys" and his fanbase lined up behind him, zero critical thinking and were like "yeah, he's right, Russia is our friend!" meanwhile Russian State TV shows videos of how they will nuke America only a few weeks ago, Lmfao.

It's embarrassing, what is happening to America looks very much like Western Russia in the making, Republicans are either terrified of standing up to Vladimir Trump or simply follow his every order no question because in their minds America can do no wrong, it's a very dangerous combination. I don't recognise America anymore.

"If something should happen with Taiwan." Yeah, there is zero chance Trump would defend Taiwan.

He would love for "something to "happen with Taiwan."

Yeah this social security thing. Guess I will die before the end of April.

No they are not parrots.  This is a designed marketing scheme.  Expect to see social media flooded with stuff like this.

Another thing I've noticed is that the language the right uses in blaming Ukraine for being invaded by Russia sounds suspiciously similar to the language judges, police, right-wing politicians, and many everyday conservatives use in blaming rape victims. "Ukraine provoked Russia" has the same energy as "what was she wearing? What was her sexual history?"

Yes, that is the new theme right now is to paint Ukraine as the country that forced Russia to invade.  They conveniently forget that Russia has been the aggressor in the region for years.  Their next talking point is that Ukraine does not want peace because they are not willing to take peace when the only offer on the table is just a ceasefire.  Ceasefire means nothing to Putin since he has broken every single one of them.   Basically you are going to see all the talking points from Russia flood conservative media and influencers.  A lot of people get their news from social media now so it’s the new bastion of propaganda.

I'm horrified by how many Americans think Ukraine should just capitulate to Russia in the name of "peace" (like they give a damn about the Ukrainians losing their lives to defend their homeland from the Russians).  I've even seen some of that crap on social media sites inhabited primarily by Canadians and Australians.

The people who cling to the Second Amendment "to protect the people against government tyranny" don't seem to like it when the Ukrainians use guns to protect themselves from Mustrumputin's tyranny.

Knew it was coming, like Merz said, the meeting was a setup all along, they wanted to goad Zelenskyy to give themselves an excuse to cut aid entirely, they were looking for an excuse to save Russia, at the best time too, Russia's advancements have slowed to a crawl and what they did make were tiny advancements at the cost of thousands of lives, their economy is on the verge of collapse, in comes America to save Putin. It was so obvious but I didn't want to doom Ukraine and try to hold faith.

Europe won't forget this, the damage that America has done to its reputation as an ally will be long lasting, the USA is finished as a trustworthy ally to any country not named Israel and Ukrainian blood is on the hands of every Trump voter. You guys backstabbed your biggest and longest running allies and for what? To own the Libs? To side with Russia? A country with a failing military, economy and population.

At this stage, I want America to just fuck off entirely, I say rip the band-aid off, America should leave NATO, UN, G7, UKUSA, Five Eyes, etc. You want to be isolationist then piss off and be isolationist but don't actively help the Russians with your disgusting UN votes or by trying to bring them back into G7, I don't trust intelligence sharing with America, I don't trust America in NATO anymore. The American deterrent for Europe no longer exists, thus their participation in NATO is irrelevant now.

Kick all American troops out of Europe, dismantle all American bases, and if Europe ends up in war with Russia, we know who is to blame. Neville Chamberlain has nothing on Donald Trump, at least it could be argued that he was trying to buy time, America meanwhile is actively trying their best to help Russia, Trump can rant about a peace plan all he wants, he hasn't even detailed his mythical peace plan yet, whilst ignoring Russia broke all previous ceasefire agreements and have repeatedly stated their goals haven't changed. Trump's peace plan isn't complicated, because Trump is a moron, his peace plan is for Ukraine to surrender entirely to Russia.

Here's your new #1 ally, America.

Don't recall the BBC ever airing how UK will nuke America.

China: 15% Tariffs on Wheat, Chicken, Corn, Cotton and Other Grains; 10% on Soybeans, Pork, Beef, Fruits, Veg, Dairy

China imposed tariffs on a broad variety of U.S. food exports early Tuesday, responding swiftly to the Trump administration's latest tariffs and escalating a global dispute that has rattled governments and international trade. China's finance ministry announced 15 percent tariffs on imports of chicken, wheat, corn and cotton from the United States, as well as 10 percent tariffs on imports of sorghum, soybeans, pork, beef, aquatic products, fruits, vegetables and dairy products.

Live Updates: China and Canada Retaliate Against New Trump Tariffs - The New York Times

Canada: 25% on C$30B Worth of U.S. Goods Effective Immediately (Will Increase to C$155B After 21 Days)

Trudeau said in the statement tariffs on C$30 ($20.80 billion) of U.S. imports would take effect immediately, and more tariffs could follow. The retaliation amount was the same as in the February announcement, though he did not give details on which goods would be impacted. Canada will impose 25% tariffs on C$30 billion in goods imported from the U.S. effective immediately. The duties will remain in place until the U.S. eliminates its tariffs against Canada. The counter measures do not apply to goods already in transit The C$30 billion is a part of an overall retaliatory measure targeting C$155 billion worth of goods imports from the U.S., with the remaining C$125 billion coming into force after a 21-day consultation period.

This is why propaganda is so influential.  It gives these people an excuse or a crux as a tool to deny Ukraine liberation.  They can now cloak themselves with the talk of peace while they forget that it’s only temporary.  The thing is they do not care about peace, instead they care about a talking point which they can use to support the direction Trump wants to lead.  This is why propaganda works so well.

The Trump Admin:

Our stock market is crashing.

Our economy is contracting.

Our government is dismantling.

Our allies are fleeing.

Our grocery prices are rising.

But at least we now call it "The Gulf of America."

So it all evens out.
