Better Switch sales than I expected and the PS5 is now up YoY so a really nice week. How does the drop for SV compare to past Pokemon games?

The second week retail sales of Pokemon Scarlet/Violet are higher than all the other 3DS and NSW mainline Pokemon games apart from X and Y, digital will put it well above X and Y though.

Seems the negative reception to the bugs and performance issues isn't gonna negatively impact sales in a notable way.

Very impressive numbers for PS5 and Xbox. Switch i was gonna say is lower than I expected but I guess black friday isnt a huge shopping holiday like in the west cuz this was actually Switch's 2nd best black friday week in Japan!

Solid hold for V/S. So its gonna pass 5mil with digital in its third week. Thats nuts. Wonder if it'll get real close to 6mil w/ digital by end of year.

I wanna see Smash vs MK8D vs Sw/Sh vs V/S vs Splat3 Japan numbers with digital once the year is over. Be interesting where they are all at and how close together they are.

Looks like Switch will hit 4.8m or maybe even 4.9m this year assuming they've got plenty of stock.

Switch 2022 is basically confirmed to outsell 2019, it only needs to sell 350k more in four weeks.
Funny that back before COVID-19 I thought that 2019 was going to be the Switch's peak year.

Another 2k PS4. I wonder how long is going to stay above 1k.

Switch being up over this week in 2020 and 2021 is nice to see.

Last year Famitsu has Switch at 770k in the last 4 weeks of the year; Switch is around 15% lower than 2021 YTD, so if that holds, Switch would land at around 4.8m for 2022, by Famitsu numbers.

Switch really underperformed last year in the last 4 weeks tho. It did close to a million in every other year in december. So Switch a good shot at crossing 5 millions for the year. There is less stock issues than last year and Pokemon SV is stronger than any other holiday games they've had so far.

Switch OLED model sold about the same as last week and regular model is up, which means we had shortages last week during Pokémon launch. Only Switch Lite is down about 40 %, so I guess people bought a Switch Lite last week although they wanted to buy an OLED or regular model.

Splatoon 3 is such a force, Pokemon being unaffected by any of the issues doesn't surprise me games like it and AC have subculture fanbases the vast majority of players in them don't care as long as they have fun.
