So, what Redfall class/character is everyone playing? Maybe we should run a poll Ryuu xD
I'm probably going to go with Remi De La Rosa first, companion classes speak to me.

I have a feeling it'll end up being average. Fun, but nothing particularly memorable. To the point where even if the game does have Arkane's signature worldbuilding, it'll be passive that not many will care about.

That is pretty much the mindset of most gamers, something either great or its garbage.

I'm gonna go with Devinder Crousley. Primarily just because he seems like he'll be the most entertaining to listen to. I love his enthusiasm in the trailers up to this point. And the ability to mass freeze a bunch of vampires at once and electrocute them!

Yea it seems like there is no room for a fun AA title anymore, it either has to be triple A or a indie looking game to be praised. Im fine with fun AA games, I even enjoyed Gungrave Gore

You could probably use Hi-Fi Rush and Redfall as an example here
Hi-Fi Rush was amazing, still the highest rated title this year, but once Redfall (the AAA) releases to bad scores it's going to be "Bethesda is trash, awful company, can't make good games anymore, Xbox ruined them" etc. etc.
Feel sorry that Arkane is about to experience what it's like to have their studio/games used as console war fodder too as a punching bag, console warriors wanting it to fail since day one, the trolling, etc. Discourse will be terrible for Starfield, Lol.
Pretty weird behaviour to see OpenCritic shitting on it before it's even out too, not a good look.

If I purchased games based on ****critic scores I probably wouldn't buy anything. I have never played or not played a game based on what it has scored.
...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

Good attitude to have Tbh. It's all opinions at the end of the day.
I know I run the league and everything but I actually think the industry would be healthier if we didn't have scores and we just forced people to read reviews, Lol. Make them actually read what is positive/negative rather than seeing "75/100? Must be shit" Even I'm guilty of it sometimes of just glancing at a score and making judgement.
OpenCritic's tweet makes me want to dump the prediction league next year, Lul.

Droid comes from a time where the only "reviews" you heard was maybe positive word of mouth from your friends or classmates or seeing a game at a store and going "that looks cool. I'm gonna get it" which is definitely more preferable to today's metacritic and opencritic obsessiveness and validation
We should all be like Droid!
At this point, I'm hoping it at least averages 70 or higher, but at this point mid 60s is more realistic. After this, Xbox needs to allow Arkane to make the games they specialize in best.
