Halo CE again, cool. At this point I’m convinced someone has a personal fucking vendetta against Halo 3 at Xbox.

kinda hard to jump to Halo 3 when the new platform you are putting the game on hasn't played the first one yet.  Its clear its a more focused low cost project.  Very limited in scope and built to get the game out on a specific deadline.  Nothing wrong with projects like that as its much easier for the devs to hit their targets better keep cost down and hopefully execute a very solid if not high quality game.  I am going to take a guess  that every Halo game is going full multiplat just like ever game in MS portfolio is.  Sometimes you need smaller less risky games to flesh out the market before full commit to something bigger that takes way longer and a lot of money to bring to market.

Honestly, if they go from first game and make new ones of the sequels , I'm fine with that.

I still find it weird that Konami went with Silent Hill 2 and is now planning to make Silent Hill 1 remake.

If this is received well enough it can also be the start of a new golden age of Halo, similar to Resident Evil since the RE2 remake. I expect a mix of Halo 1, 2, and 3 remakes, along with new entries. Something like Halo CE remake -> Halo 7 (sequel to Infinite) -> Halo 2 remake -> Halo prequel (Start of Covenant war) -> Halo 3 remake. I would also keep the campaign and multiplayer separate with a Halo hub to access all the games/content.

This is my belief as well.  They first need to get the first game on all systems including Switch 2, gauge the interest of the market then come out with their next entry.  They can easily farm out a Remaster/Remake to another studio because I just do not believe they have the bandwidth to do new games and older remasters at the same time.  Also keeping the MP as a service is probably going to be the way they go for now on.  It becoming increasingly difficult to do both MP and SP in the same game unless you have a team the size of COD doing both SP and MP.  The expectations are so high that anything smaller in that space has a hard time gaining traction with the audience.  Halo service team needs to grow much bigger if its going to compete and the SP team needs to be more focused if they want the SP to hit the market and sell.

"As many of us have come to expect, the next Xbox will indeed run full-bore Windows, with a TV-optimized, console-style experience layered on top. Microsoft decided to sideline its own Xbox handheld plans and go to market with the Xbox Ally in partnership with ASUS this year to start gathering feedback on the experience that will essentially power its next wave of "console" hardware. I'm told that Microsoft still plans to make its own Xbox handheld eventually, too, along the lines of this new plan. Xbox President Sarah Bond has teased a variety of first-party Xbox hardware, made in partnership with AMD. What will all of this look like, though?

Indeed, the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X, with its Xbox Full Screen Experience, is essentially what the next Xbox will look like. It's not dissimilar to the SteamOS interface and Big Picture Mode, which allows you to exit out into full Linux at will. Similarly, the Xbox Full Screen Experience will allow you to exit out to full Windows if you want to, and run competing stores like Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft's own Battle.net, the Riot Client, and indeed anything else you want. Indeed, you could run Adobe CC or Microsoft Office on the next Xbox, if you so choose.

Where the Xbox console will differ from a traditional Windows PC is that it will feel like a traditional Xbox console out of the box. The onboarding experience will be similar to what you get today on console, and if you choose, you can remain fully inside the Xbox ecosystem, never touching Windows itself. Exiting out to Windows will be for those who want to access games traditionally not available on Xbox, including PlayStation games on Steam, mouse and keyboard-first games like League of Legends, or even classic games from GOG and the like.

You will be able to run PlayStation's PC titles like God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, and Spider-Man on the next Xbox, purchased via Steam or Epic Games. You will be able to play World of Warcraft on the next Xbox, via Battle.net. You'll also be able to install practically any game that runs on Windows, giving you access to decades upon decades of content all on a single device.

Furthermore, thanks to new silicon from AMD (already approved all the way up to CFO Amy Hood and CEO Satya Nadella), the new Xbox will also run all games currently available on the Xbox Series X|S library. This means all the OG Xbox back-compatible games, all the Xbox 360 back-compatible games, all the Xbox One back-compatible games, and all the current and future Xbox Series X|S games. These games will run natively on the new Xbox and launch seamlessly via the Xbox launcher's library."

"Microsoft is working hard across the Xbox and Windows teams to optimize the platform for TVs and controllers, bringing the original "Windows in the living room" vision from the OG Xbox to fruition after 25 years."

I think it has more to do with Silent Hill 2 being a standalone game whereas SH3 is a direct sequel to the first game. So I'm guessing Konami didn't want to greenlight a SH1 remake until SH2 was a for sure success. Because a lot of fans, myself included, would be very upset if they didn't remake SH3 if they did remake SH1 lol. The third game in the series is my personal favorite.

This actually is what I am hoping for.
Hopefully it turns out like this.
