I've never played Sonic Unleashed and I'm playing it on Xbox One X.
I beat the second werehog stage and the game is breaking me mentally. I want to make it past Rooftop Run if I can (which is the fourth daytime stage). Rooftop Run is pretty incredible in Sonic Generations, and I've seen some footage of it in Sonic Unleashed.

Sadly, 60 FPS is limited to Xbox Series X/S.

If its breaking you mentally just by being on the second werehog stage, you should stop because it only gets worse.

I finished Sonic Unleashed last year on my Series X and it was awful lol

If you somehow survive the second half of the game I salute you.

Oh and that last level.....which is a mixture of the Hedgehog and Werehog levels and takes about an hour (assuming you dont die) - good luck.

Better than the trash Sonic 06 game (which I played on my PS3 the year before in 2023) but still not saying much.

I played the Savannah Citadel, but I'm already stuck on Egg Beetle. And because the game is so well-made (rolls eyes) you don't even get a checkpoint/auto-save if you quit Egg Beetle.

Edit: Just realized you can boost into Egg Beetle.

If I get further in the game, it'll be a while from now. I'm ready to just call it here after some of those Werehog levels.

I'm not enjoying enough of the game relative to the challenge to keep going. Daytime Stages? Goated. Bosses, Werehog, Sky Chase, towns? Below average.

It’s probably best to let the Life is Strange franchise retire at this point. Double Exposure is an exhausting game to play.

Should I make a major mistake and start Stalker 2 only 4 days before AC...I am playing AC on day one but I'm really in the mood to play Stalker right now, Lol.

They might've put out too many games as well in a time period.

LIS: 2015

BTS: 2017-2018

LIS2: 2018-2019

True Colors: All at once in 2021

Double Exposure: 2024-2025

5 games in around 10 years is oversaturated for most IPs. You have annual releases or biennial releases that do well but it's not the norm. 3 years is the largest gap to date between LIS releases, and the gaps are often smaller than that.

I've only played LIS and BTS. I want to play the other games but feel no urgency to do so in my backlog.

The franchise should probably retire or at least take a 5–7-year break.

Go with Stalker 2 and wait on AC a few weeks after launch for 50% discount.
