I'mma buy AC Shadows. Looks good. Like a lot of the details I've read about it so far. The debate around the character seems totally ridiculous to me.

I love playing old Megaman X-X4 games, 2 hours of fun guaranteed. The same goes for Chrono Trigger, it can be finished in 8 hours easily.
If you want something more modern, I recommend Dark Soul 1, the game is super short and easy if you have the knowledge. Shadow of The Colossus (remakes If possible) is also fantastic, short and unforgettable.

Never pre-order, wait for gameplay and reviews then make up your mind
I'll probably grab a month of Ubisoft+ when AC Shadows releases and try and power through both Star Wars Outlaws and AC Shadows during that month.
