Stream any game to your phone screen. If done in dual video and proper dimensions, it would automatically be usable in google cardboard for 3D experience.
Be nice also if all console controllers had a clip to hold your phone. The controller would automatically have a screen for in house portable gaming.

Out of the dozens of controllers that I used, I only ever got one controller drifting, a DualShock 3. It's strange because it seems to be a fairly common issue on the internet and I'm not exactly gentle with my controllers. None of my real life friends ever complained about it either.
Conversely, my DS4's D-pads couldn't survive Korean Backdashing (Tekken) for 2 active months, so my humble wish is for Sony to have better and more durable D-pad rubbers and simplify disassembly. Other than that, I was happy with most Playstation controllers. To me any innovations since DualShock 1 are gimmicks that don't add much. Triggers are sometimes nice (but mostly an annoyance), gyro/motion-sensing can be cool too but hardly any developer utilizes them meaningfully even though they've been standard in some form on Nintendo/Sony controllers since 2006.

Whaaat, how does that happen? I have gone through Playstations 1-5 and never has a controller cell died on me. To be fair, I always use two controllers so that one is always charged up and ready to go, because sometimes I game for like 15 hours a day. But I haven't even noticed a shortening of the battery life, let alone complete failure.
Better keyboard and mouse support. It's slowly getting better, however we still have plenty of fairly new games that were designed with K&M in mind, ported to consoles, where they don't support it (I'm looking at you Civ6).

All batteries have a finite cycle.
Lithium-Ion Polymer or LiPO cells typically have a lifespan of about 5 years and 500-1000 charge cycles depending on use, battery quality, temperatures and more.
Playstation 1-2 typically did not have lithium cells, so I am not surprised they haven't died on you.
Early PS3 controllers are reaching 15 years of age and are failing.
Many PS4 controllers are the same.

It's not super super common like drift, but the older they get, the more likely it's going to occur, not a matter of "if" but literally "when". - Then they need to live a cabled life.

Agree. Add to that being able to easily backup all the patches addons to an external drive so can install it on any console later once the online services is switched off.
Region-free hardware
Internet Browser: I don't care that almost everyone has a smartphone, PC, or tablet. It's a convenience that has been rendered obsolete in the minds of Sony and Nintendo.
