Microsoft Announcement: Microsoft will have the true GTAIV experience.

(if you buy the hard drive $99.99 and the wireless adapter $99.99 and the DLC probably 2 at $29.99 each)

so its only another $260 on top of the bundle price to play this game to its fullest.

Microsoft: Shit nevermind.

*facepalm*

Wifi is completely unneccessary, you can use a regular wired connection and many people prefer to use one in online games. Plus you don't have to pay $100 for a HDD if you have a premium so all you'd pay is the cost of the DLC.

Sure, people who bought Arcades will need to spend the money for a HDD but if they decide not to it's not like they get a "gimped" experience worse than the PS3. All the PS3 fans mocking the "complete experience" confuses me. Worst case scenario for a 360 Arcade owner is that they play exactly the same game the PS3 owners get to play. Can't exactly mock them for that now can you?

He's your bi*** now, That was a very good point.

What exactly is it that has driven the negative reaction in this thread. I wonder could it be the fear that Microsoft might do a great deal of damage to Sony with this. Could it be blind brand loyalty which forces the zealot to attack anything that threatens their world view. Perhaps its just stupidity for stupidities sake.

This would be a great move by Microsoft. This would be great for gamers. Stop being selfish and stupid. Give a crap about your fellow gamer. Microsoft bundling two popular AAA titles in with its console is very positive, and we should hope that it succeeds for them. Why might you ask it might hurt a console your blindly loyal to. The answer is this. Other manufacturers will take note and they might follow suit. That is good for gamers.

Attacking Halo 3 is pretty asinine. Microsoft owns the game so it is relatively cheap for them to offer as a pack in. Whether you like another game more is aside from the point. More is better, and Halo 3 is a popular well received game. Have we managed to forget that is has almost sold two million copies in the others market? Have we managed to forget that the game has a average score of over ninety percent. That doesn't happen to a game unless it is very good. Halo 3 is a very good game and is hardly niche.

People usually attack Halo 3 for one of two reasons. The first is that it was so successful that it makes them bitter. The second reason is that its exclusive to the 360. Were it available on multiple platforms most of those bitching wouldn't have quite the problem they say they have. Were it exclusive to the PS3 it would be number one on the best of PS3 lists. Basically its sour grapes. The hate is unjustified, and shows a person that argues the point is very shallow. Might not be your favorite game, but you can't exactly argue that it is bad.

Would it be bad if Sony included Resistance with its bundle or if Nintendo included Galaxy with its bundle. The answer is no it would be wonderful for gamers. Anyone think that Sony missed a golden opportunity with prologue. Had they packaged that into a bundle with Grand Theft Auto imagine those sales.

Strategyking watch the insults. Putting asterisks over part of the word doesn't make it better.

Great Post Dodece.

This bundle will really help Microsoft. Most people are too dumb to realize that the arcade version can't handle the DLC so it won't really matter. Now I just hope that they have similar bundles in North America. If they do I might actually buy a 360.

Sorry, it was only a joke, or meant to be anyway

- The true experience includes online, (Since Online will be great for this game)and ofcourse I know that it can be plugged in to a home router but a lot of people dont have their 360's next to their router which makes wifi a necessity

-The bundle in the OP was an Arcade sku which is why I talked about having to pay the $100 for the hard drive.

-Ofcourse they wouldn't have to pay $100 for the wifi if they had the premium but that isn't what we are talking about now is it?

And Yes I can mock them for that. I can do what I want when its based on factual knowledge.

facepalm yourself again, only this time do it a lot harder.

̶3̶R̶D̶   2ND! Place has never been so sweet.

I said this before in another thread like this one. These deals ain't that great! Arcade retail for 399 and the Pro sells for bout 530ish depending on where you buy it. So you're paying 100 more for the arcade and 150 more for the Pro. Hardly a bundle if you ask me.
Sure you get a free copy of Halo 3 in the arcade pack, but with no HDD its not any better than a PS3. Also, Halo 3 is meant to be a system seller, if you wanted to play Halo 3 that much, you've would've gotten one already. But still, i guess a free game is better than nothing. But remember in the pro bundle, you're actually paying 50 for Halo 3!
The GTAIV PS3 cost 750, at an extra 70 bucks, I do think its the better choice. But this ain't about the PS3, so i'll leave that for another thread.
I still believe that for this bundle deal to truly be great, charge 450 for the arcade and 580-600 for the Pro (50AUD for GTAIV, same price the Sony one is charging), and get rid of that Halo 3 rubbish, because they're not paying to play Halo 3, they're paying to play GTAIV!

The Idea of a bundle @ game launch is to help gamers play their game for the most economical price.
If you are going to chuchk in another game and increase the total cost, sure you might find a few takes, but it might just defeat the idea of a game launch bundle.

Heeeeyyyy!!!! <Snap>

Did you understand anything I posted?

Yes I can mock them for that. I can do what I want when its based on factual knowledge.

And an ugly person can call themselves ugly based off of factual knowledge but at the end of the day they are still making fun of themselves.  I was implying that it's ridiculous for you to mock a 360 Arcade owner for not having a complete experience when their experience will be identical to yours.  There are no features inaccessible to 360 Arcade owners that PS3 owners or 360 Pro/Elite owners have access to.  Really you're just mocking yourself if you consider no DLC such a major feature.  Feel free to continue to do so though...

The bundle in the OP was an Arcade sku which is why I talked about having to pay the $100 for the hard drive.

Here i'm thinking you just misread as the OP clearly states the bundle is offered in both Arcade and Pro versions and the link to both SKUs are available.  Here's the link to the Pro bundle.

I dont see any PS3 purchasers jumping on this deal at all. Sorry halo is not that great of an FPS.

7.6 million people might disagree with you on that

Unreal, Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Portal, GoldenEye 007, Quake, Doom, Wolfenstein, and Team Fortress says hi.

You realize when all is said and done Halo 3 will have outsold many of those right?

when its all said and done, Halo's gameplay falls miles short of these titles

I always chuckle when I hear someone say, "yeah, that game sold over 7 m copies, but it wasn't that great."  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  I don't care much for a lot of JRPGs, but I'm not going to tell someone who really liked a popular JRPG that it wasn't that great because "I" didn't like it.
