What exactly is it that has driven the negative reaction in this thread. I wonder could it be the fear that Microsoft might do a great deal of damage to Sony with this. Could it be blind brand loyalty which forces the zealot to attack anything that threatens their world view. Perhaps its just stupidity for stupidities sake.

This would be a great move by Microsoft. This would be great for gamers. Stop being selfish and stupid. Give a crap about your fellow gamer. Microsoft bundling two popular AAA titles in with its console is very positive, and we should hope that it succeeds for them. Why might you ask it might hurt a console your blindly loyal to. The answer is this. Other manufacturers will take note and they might follow suit. That is good for gamers.

Attacking Halo 3 is pretty asinine. Microsoft owns the game so it is relatively cheap for them to offer as a pack in. Whether you like another game more is aside from the point. More is better, and Halo 3 is a popular well received game. Have we managed to forget that is has almost sold two million copies in the others market? Have we managed to forget that the game has a average score of over ninety percent. That doesn't happen to a game unless it is very good. Halo 3 is a very good game and is hardly niche.

People usually attack Halo 3 for one of two reasons. The first is that it was so successful that it makes them bitter. The second reason is that its exclusive to the 360. Were it available on multiple platforms most of those bitching wouldn't have quite the problem they say they have. Were it exclusive to the PS3 it would be number one on the best of PS3 lists. Basically its sour grapes. The hate is unjustified, and shows a person that argues the point is very shallow. Might not be your favorite game, but you can't exactly argue that it is bad.

Would it be bad if Sony included Resistance with its bundle or if Nintendo included Galaxy with its bundle. The answer is no it would be wonderful for gamers. Anyone think that Sony missed a golden opportunity with prologue. Had they packaged that into a bundle with Grand Theft Auto imagine those sales.
