Best Sega published game I've played in recent years is Sonic Mania.
I've never really been a big Sega fan, haven't enjoyed Sonic or some of the other Genesis games I've played ported to other systems. I've always enjoyed Persona games so that was kind of my one big Sega series. Just in the last 1.5 years I've played through my first Yakuza game and than played through all of them and the first Judgment game and loved every one of them. I played through Night Trap and Panzer dragon on the Switch recently and enjoyed both games. I'm currently playing through the first Grandia game on the Switch and really blown away by the quality of the game. We didn't have games like this on the N64 back in the day.
Here are some of my favorite Sega games:
Shinobi (Arcade)
Golden Axe (Arcade and Genesis)
Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2 and Mania
Shining Force 1 & 2
Valkyria Chronicles 1 & 4
Puyo Puyo Tetris
curl-6 bet me that PS5 + X|S sales would reach 56m before year end 2023 and he was right.
My Bet With curl-6
My Threads:
Master Thread, Game of the Year/Decade
Switch Will Be #1 All Time
Zelda Will Outsell Mario (Achieved)
How Much Will MH Rise sell?
My Bet With Metallox
Vanquish, think its one of the only third person shooter made by Platinum Games (published by Sega) and they hit it out the park. On my top 5 for TPS.
