What was this week last year that the Switch was at over 450k?

Golden Week in Japan, plus Monster Hunter Rise was still fresh enough to move some hardware globally.

I know about Golden Week. Last year it boosted hardware much more than this year. But Monster Hunter boosted hardware more than Switch Sports outside of Japan? That's something.

Yeah is the type of game that a friend plays at your house and decides to get it for himself. Then is just a domino effect.

Hopefully 200k+ weeks for the PS5 can become increasingly common in the coming months.

Nice to see Switch clear a third of a million in a week again.
Switch Sports may not be the kind of title that makes people rush out to buy a new system day 1, but over time it should have a cumulative effect on hardware sales, at least in as much as stock allows and given the system's age.

PS5 vs Xbox Series X|S vs Switch 2022 Sales Comparison Charts Through April 30

Here we see data representing the global sales through to consumers and change in sales performance of the three current platforms (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch) and three legacy platforms (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo 3DS) over comparable periods for 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Also shown is the market share for each of the consoles over the same periods.

Year to Date Sales Comparison (Same Periods Covered)

PS5 +X|S YTD is not that different from last year and this year.  The main difference is that X|S is taking a much bigger chunk of that similarly sized pie.

Switch still tracking around 40% ahead of 2019, which was itself a strong year by most standards, in its 6th calendar year.
