LMAO

its the xbots have hard ons for PS3 games, must be the wrong console since they seen so damn desperate for MGS and FF13.

I still don't understand why games get ported to different consoles. Can kind of defeat the purpose of owning another console.

hey I was wondering about one thing:  *IF* 360 was to get the same MGS4, would the timing of release affect total sales numbers (PS3 + 360) ???  Or any major game that will be multi'ed on 360/PS3 for that matter.

If PS3 gets an early release, PS3 owners + new people buying PS3 for the game will be the initial numbers but I don't think a 1 year (or w/e) late version on 360 will sell that much.  The hype will be over and 360 owners may have lost interest by then.  There may be other games on 360 to look forward to.  Basically the RE4 GC->PS2 situation here.

*IF* a 360 version was release simutanously with PS3, there will probably be more new 360 buyers than new PS3 buyers due to the pricing of the console, and 360 has a larger install base already.  I'm taking in account how these type of games typically sell well thru their early weeks.

I'm thinking a same date release would possibly yeild more sales but what do you think?  Any flaw to this logic?

crappy old school NES games are more entertaining than next-gen games.

Me thinks a day and date release would yield more total sales, albeit in the 360 versions favor. But that will never happen. MGS4 is a tentpole release for the PS3, and it would be sacrilige to release simultaneously on another system. It would hurt PS3 sales definitely. But, a year head start would work in favor of the PS3, cause some people wouldn't want to wait that long. I still think it would sell reasonably well on the 360, but not as well as a release closer together.
