GT7 PS5 being the highest selling version didn't last long. It's week 2 and the PS4 version already passed it.

Won't take long before the PS4 version surpasses the PS5 as well

It already has. 85,371 for PS4 vs  83,505 for PS5, so the PS5 version was ahead for 1 week only.

If you don't count digital, sure. The trend will probably continue until PS4 dies down.

I wonder if the PS4/PS5 software output from Japanese developers will last longer than PS3/PS4. The PS3 still got big games in 2016 from Japanese publishers, but most games didn't get their PS3 version localized in the West. I bet some here will be shocked that some beloved games on PC/PS4 also had a PS3 version, but was Japan only.

Tales of Berseria
Atelier Sophie
Dynasty Warriors Godseekers
Dragon Quest Heroes 2
Dragon Quest Builders
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven
Steins;Gate 0
Yakuza Kiwami
Yakuza 0

And some games did see a PS3 release in the West, but a lot of people either ignored or forgot.
Attack on Titan
Persona 5

As there is almost no Playstation games in the rankings anymore, I will ask

Is it the standard for Nintendo games to be less than 6k yen and most of the third parties to be over 7k?

Only Zelda seems to follow third parties prince, and Ring Fit but this one comes with a peripheral

I guess the bigger budgeted games will have higher pricing. But I think it's fair for them buyers to get most prices around the usual MSRP.

Heck you even got games that are around 8,4K ! It's insane how much the prices there can vary

It may be, but doesn't look a perfect correlation, Triangle Strategy is more expensive than Horizon, Atelier Sophie is more expensive than Pokemon, Momotaro more expensive than Splatoon

Personally I find quite odd to see a market where Nintendo games are the cheapest, when they are quite more expensive elsewhere

Is there data that suggests that PS5 has a higher digital share than PS4?

Well considering 15% of all PS5s sold in Japan are completely digital, compared to 0% from PS4. I would say so.

Sony also puts out data suggesting digital rates (WW) have improved since the launch of the PS5 as compared to the PS4 days.

Having a digital only console that sold 200k, with possibly half or more that was scalped won’t really effect digital percentage imo.
