Not sure if abandoning Europe is a wise move for Sony at the moment. They could really lose their stronghold in Europe.
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Or the system has higher peak years later in its life.
Good debut for Horizon FW, nice hold for Pokemon and... is that a PC game in the top 10?! Wow, I didn't know miracles could still happen. And we were on the verge of kicking GTA V out of the list. Almost. We'll see if we have more luck next week.
Hardware wise, all of them are down. It's surprising to see the Switch below the 5k mark and the Xbox, while falling, it's still doing ok. PS5 numbers are simply awful.
Thanks for the numbers, polofresco.
Please excuse my bad English.

I can definitely see the PS5 having better peak years than the PS4 but I doubt that alone would be enough to catch up due to the combination of some people giving up entirely due to the stock issue and better competition this time.

They are definitely not focusing on it either. At the moment they are focussing on USA and Europe isn't a priority market lately as the shipment show. They stay competitive in the US, but they will definitely shrink in Europe if they keep up the America first approach.

You should keep in mind that, in the seventh gen with the PS3, Sony delayed the release of the console in Europe by four months, dropped the cheaper model leaving us with only the expensive model to get and were the first to lose PS2 emulation. And yet, the PS3 became the best selling console of that gen in Europe, beating even the Wii.
Just because they don't send enough supply over here, that doesn't mean that it won't be successful in the end.

Whatever Sony is allocating now doesn't reflect future shipments when they can finally meet demand. I'm not sure why worldwide shortages would lead you to believe Sony is abandoning Europe.
Just take a look at the last holiday season when Sony "abandoned" NA because they came in third place.

Beacause there are, like 50 times more PS4s than PS5s in use?
