Russia running out of armored vehicles at more and more bases. Next one on the list, the 22. Storage Base, Russia's original storage base.

Only 13% of the tanks and 44% of the AFVs are still present, and most of the latter are in a storage dump, so probably about one third to one half of those are just a pile of scrap metal now.

The Ruzzkians will soon reach a point where every tank and afv is new, yet in such short supply that their army isn't protected except through AT and mines.   I wonder how they are attempting to adapt to this unfortunate circumstance?

Are we just doomed with these dumb “leaders” and the “good times” was just a product of chance?

I'm not exactly fond of all the strategic choices from Merkel's era, but one does not join NATO instantaneously. It takes time, and judging by our reaction now, I'm not convinced we would have backed Ukraine more strongly had they been let get in earlier. I mean, Russia would might well have acted before the process finished, so our 'escalation management' might also have just let Russia do what it's currently doing - only Ukraine was getting stronger all the time since 2014, at least so I've understood.

By buying up the aging North Korean stock of T-62, BTR(40-60), and old artillery guns. Russia could even claim they are their own as they're all "made in Soviet Union" unless they include the North Korean copy of the T-62, the Chonma-Ho...

ok, lol.

I meant in terms of tactics in battle.

What I meant with what I said is that they won't change them as long as they can get men and material sourced from somewhere, be it from their storage depots and hiring new soldiers at massively marked-up wages, sourcing both of them in North Korea or attracting some Houthis with employment and citizenship promises and then shanghaiing them into military service, as long as Putin can source the material somewhere and can find ways to avoid a general mobilization, they won't change them.

Of course, seeing that Russia is increasingly hiring fighters from abroad and in increasingly devious ways shows that he won't be able to avoid mobilization for long anymore, something he vowed not to do. A similar thing can be said about the equipment, it would be beyond humiliating for Glorious Mother Russia if they were forced to acknowledge using old stored equipment from a country like North Korea...
