By buying up the aging North Korean stock of T-62, BTR(40-60), and old artillery guns. Russia could even claim they are their own as they're all "made in Soviet Union" unless they include the North Korean copy of the T-62, the Chonma-Ho...

ok, lol.

I meant in terms of tactics in battle.

What I meant with what I said is that they won't change them as long as they can get men and material sourced from somewhere, be it from their storage depots and hiring new soldiers at massively marked-up wages, sourcing both of them in North Korea or attracting some Houthis with employment and citizenship promises and then shanghaiing them into military service, as long as Putin can source the material somewhere and can find ways to avoid a general mobilization, they won't change them.

Of course, seeing that Russia is increasingly hiring fighters from abroad and in increasingly devious ways shows that he won't be able to avoid mobilization for long anymore, something he vowed not to do. A similar thing can be said about the equipment, it would be beyond humiliating for Glorious Mother Russia if they were forced to acknowledge using old stored equipment from a country like North Korea...
