That was beautiful, brought tears to my eyes. I hope it reaches the people in Russia. New found respect for Arnold, great speech.

Russia could not attack Bosnia in the same way as it has done with Ukraine as it doesn't share a land border with the country - surely Russia realises this. Russia's ally Serbia could in theory but Nato has a history of getting involved there. It certainly wouldn't be as wary in taking on Serbia as it is with Russia.

Russia could try an amphibious invasion but Bosnia has an absolutely tiny coastline, making it completely impractical. It would realistically have to go through either Croatia and/or Montenegro - and guess what, both of those countries are Nato members.

Maybe countries that have Russian troops currently occupying pieces of their land should think about forcing them out now that Russia is stretched thin and an international pariah...Moldova, Georgia...If Putin plays this wrong then even Assad could lose ground in Syria...I'd say Belarus but Lukashenko is such a puppet that isn't ever happening, I just hope if some false flag attack happens to push Belarus troops into Ukraine that the public drag his ass out of office.

This is a possibility but runs the risk of escalating the conflict if different front open up. Whilst it unclear given Russia's problems fighting Ukraine if cope if strecthed further I doubt whether Georgia and Moldova are strong enough to with much of Russia's power on their own.

Despite it's proximity, its unclear whether Moldova is strong enough to best the Russian forces in Transnistria, even without Russian forces in Ukraine going over to help Transnistria. Georgia might be another matter as its suggested that Russia has the vast majority of its readily deployable combat forces committed to Ukraine. Maybe it could but it can't be sure. Is it a chance it is prepared to take?

This is why I don't cry when Russian military members die.

You shouldn't. It's either them or Ukranian soldiers or civilians. And they're the war criminals. They should be brave enough to drop their guns, refuse to take orders or surrender. It really is that simple.

It's the same thing for Russian citizens. Everyone with a functioning brain is capable to understand Putin is a liar. Now they need to be brave enough to call him out. I feel no compassion to those who don't.

U.S. House Votes to Strip Russia's Most Favored Nation Trade Status

Underscoring the broad support for hampering the Russian economy, the House passed the measure in a 424 - 8 vote. The bill would also strip most favored nation status for Belarus, a close ally of Russia.

If the U.S. removes Russia’s “most favored nation” trade status, it will allow the country to slap fresh taxes on a range of Russian goods. The White House has worked in concert with European Union and G-7 allies, many of which have started to take their own steps toward suspending normal trade relations with Russia.

That voting margin is quite something given the highly partizan nature of US politics. I curious who the 8 who voted against it are.

Edit: They are Republican Representatives Marjorie Taylor Green of Georgia, Lauren Boebert of Colorado, Matt Gaetz of Florida, Chip Roy of Texas, Andy Biggs of Arizona, Glenn Grothman of Wisconsin, Dan Bishop of North Carolina and Thomas Massie of Kentucky.

I'd guessed MTG and Gaetz might be among the 8. Had forgotten about Boebert but she is also par for the course. I'm unfamiliar with the other 5.

Doesn't seem like all of the 8 have the same reasoning. Boebert does seem to be pushing her usual nonsense. Roy has more qualified reasoning. None of the others are directly referenced, although MTG is mentioned as having previously pushed a pro-Krelim position regarding Russia's invasion.

Most of the usual House reprobates. I'm shocked as hell Paul Gosar didn't join these 8.  Almost anytime there's a shitty cause to back in Congress, Gosar is right on it. And as an Arizona resident, I wish to God I wasn't represented by Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar.

Did anyone read the article 2 weeks ago on how US and uk senior advisors saying the war will last 10 to 25 years.

Also the symbol Z, has the flipped N. NZ maybe short for nazi.

A minor thing in context but still can’t help but chuckle that they stuck two fingers up at Russia. Hopefully the ban is upheld at the dull hearing.

You aren't represented by both of them, only 1 at max and maybe neither depending on what district you live in. House of Representatives has nothing to do with representing the state, that's the Senate, but is rather about representing the specific people with their specific wants and needs from a specific district.

And there are fringe people on all sides, I'm honestly surprised the entire squad voted to condemn Putin, as they often have no problem supporting communists/oligarchies like Cuba.

I saw it, but I don't really get that perspective this early on. Most wars last a max of 10-15 years, and most way less, because the population of the invading army grows restless and impatient to end it over time. If Putin hasn't totally won this war within a year, I think he will be deposed by his own government and they will scapegoat him for the whole thing.
