I think Ukraine can beat Russia eventually, but I am honestly afraid of Russia's capabilities in the next war. This war will create many veterans and Putin fanatics, so next time Russia will be a lot more capable. Just goes to show that countries like Finland and Georgia need to find a safe zone.

Maybe their Economy will be too much in shambles to support such a war machine, but you never know.

The thing with Finland is although it isn’t a Nato member it is an EU member. Whilst the EU doesn’t have an explicit defensive pact like Nato’s article 5 it seems unlikely that the EU as a whole wouldn’t respond to an attack on a member-state.

Sweden is another one who Russia have threaten against Nato membership. Whilst it isn’t an EU member either, for Russia to attack it it would either have to go through Norway, Finland or launch an amphibious invasion. Norway is a Nato member, see above for Finland and amphibious attacks are much more difficult logistically.

Georgia is a bit more of an awkward one to say the least.

I honestly thinks that there would be no next war from Russia. Not one of the same scale or not in a timeframe that would allow any veteran of this war to be of any use.

I might be too optimistic though, but while I think Russia may "win" in Ukraine, they have also engaged in a path that'll ultimately cause their downfall. A fall of the soviet union 2.0 if you will.

Compared to the last I posted (2 days ago):
+8 planes
+2 Helicopters
+36 tanks
+5 artillery
+95 personnel carriers
+2 MLRS
+76 cars
+3 anti-aircraft
The number of estimated Russian troops Loss by the Ukraine's Armed Forces remain at >12000 for a third day. IMO this is probably due to the fact that it is becoming more difficult to assess enemies losses, a change in operation by the Russians limiting the exposures of troops and/or adjustments by Ukrainians to palliate previous overestimation.

As far as I can see, only one US General was killed in Afghanistan, the last US General to be killed in combat was Vietnam, in total 13 died during that war but only 7 of those were killed by enemy actions, USA's ground involvement in that war lasted about 8 years.

Russia has according to Ukraine, lost 3 Generals in a little over 2 weeks.

I am against wars in general, but from a historical point of view, the more waring a nation is, the more experience they have, and the better they are at it. For decades now, Russia has been behind the scenes, only engaging in conflict against clearly inferior foes, but mostly indirectly engaging in proxy wars or just bombing enemies. They've basically had a soft Pax Romana, whereas America has been literally not stop fighting since 2001.

Basically Sparta vs. Rome during their period of peace, kind of difference here. Russia's "fat and happy" period (as I often refered to the Pax Romana as to my students when I taught history) is clearly on display here.

What I'm hoping for is that there's resistance to Vladimir Putrid WITHIN Russia too.

Agreed, though the Russian revolutionaries tend to lead to worse leaders than they had before. Maybe someone should find who the closest person is to the old Czar bloodline and just make it happen again. I'd take a constitutional monarchy in Russia over this nonsense oligarchy or communism any day.

Bringing people from Africa and some Arabic countries to Ukraine to fight against Ukraine and we as the West are scared about beginning the Third World War if we would give Ukraine some heavier equipment.

Sure, there are also many from around the world fighting for Ukraine but it's Ukraine's ground after all. They are obviously allowed to let people in their own country if they want to.

I'm so glad that the civilized world finally sees the idiotic kremlin lies, we in the Baltic states, as the former USSR states, have seen it for many decades. Russia is built on lies and deceit and the kleptomaniac dictator putler unfortunately is the mirror of the russian nation. As the saying goes - every nation gets the ruler that it deserves.

A great video explaining the difficulties encountered by Russian on getting air superiority over Ukraine.

Looks like there's as much as 78k Ukrainians soldiers and volunteers ready to defends Kyiv.
