Elon Musk in the 1940s would have been pressuring Jan Smuts to pass the Group Areas Act.

Had to look that up, but yeah, would be very much in character for Elmo Mucks

Canada almost shifted to the reactionary conservatives (Blue). Then BOOM:

Liberals (red, weak social Democrats) rocket up in support. All Canadian parties are left leaning except the reactionary conservatives and one really minor party ironically called "the people's party" despite having nothing to do with socialism - they're the fucking idiot party/Alternative für Kanada and represent about 2% of the voters, ranking 6th and last.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

And I say that as someone who used to love the USA more than any other country in the world. But you guys really need to get rid of Trump and you can't wait until the next electon. Make some noise, I beg you.

What can I say, Myiasis is one hell of a condition.

Looks like America's bullshit has completely destroyed Conservatives lead in Canada. That and other factors of course but it looks like anti-American sentiment is good for political parties when America is deciding to attack literally everyone on the planet. I'll still not pop out the champagne, Conservatives still have a good chance of winning it seems, but it's good to see the collapse which will hopefully rein them in if they do win.

Whatever issues Canadians have with Trudeau, they need to recognize that Pierre Poilieve cannot be trusted. Hopefully they won't let "but housing prices" become their version of "but the price of eggs" in voting in a guy who will likely sell them out to Trump. Hopefully they find some leader they can agree on who will protect their sovereignty.

For those in Europe who might want to boycott the US government for their treatment of Zelenskyy or simply want to avoid potential tariffs in a trade war, there's a handy website to help you:

https://www.buy-european-made.eu

You'll find an European alternative pretty much everything, from food chains over clothing and computers to online services , even including some for Amazon

Wish the same would happen to Farage and Badenoch...

Not in Ontario, we just had provincial elections 5 days ago

https://results.elections.on.ca/en/results-overview

40% conservatives, 23% Liberal, 23% NDP, 6% Green.

Not that it matters atm, Doug Ford (Progressive Conservative Party) is having none of Trump. Still sucks he's re-elected.
