Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Kills Beloved YouTube Channel

I don't think it's exactly immoral to remove videos with their own songs, just annoying and meaningless

Great thing piracy exists and other people will just upload the songs again :p

So...it's a possibility that a fake Nintendo account could be behind the takedowns. I still don't necessarily care even if they did take it down but it didn't make sense to me that they would considering the videos weren't monetized.

GilvaSunner already deleted his account so I guess it's too late but what a sad strange thing to happen.

Holy shit! So an impersonator has been doing this for many years and neither Youtube nor anyone else have done anything against it? F*ck this s*it!

LOL Youtube's copyright system is beyond a joke and that impersonator rode it to the fullest.

Nintendo fans are the most loyal bunch, for a reason. I fully support what they are doing.

This is just too funny.

Not to me. I loved to listen to the music on his channel and some asshole ruined it.

Meanwhile over at Sega, once Nintendo's chief rival:

And they've already had the Sonic Mania soundtrack up on Amazon's Music Unlimited service for a few years before this.

Ignoring whether or not this was actually Nintendo... I don't think pointing out that a company that was once competitive and was driven to the brink of irrelevancy by bad business decisions is doing things differently is a compelling argument.

good guy Nintendo strikes again

I may be late for this news. I have to say.... I'm deeply disappointed in whoever impersonated as Nintendo to kill the non-profit GilvaSunner's channel in cold blood if it's real.

That's beyond absurd move, i feel sorry for the fans, for the creators and for Nintendo as well that's already looked like a villain in fans' eyes.

My opinion on YouTube, i think this site is a terrible place for everyone. There's a high chance to steal your own original video and then your channel gets damaged by the fakers and by the awful competitors, yes it's indeed real here. That's YouTube's system works.

lol

Either way, YouTube's copyright system is a joke and has been for years.
