Exactly how is a Xbox 360 owner supposed to comment, when people that have little, or no relation come into a forum, to where a person is seeking help and advice for his system of purchase, and told, twice, to buy another system, by a person offering NO ADVICE about helping his system?

It's not that we/I try to deny RROD exists, but *gasp* when it happens, we want to provide good, insightful, helpful information! Very few people outside of the 360 forums actually TRY to help these said owners, and would rather flame Microsoft, and jump on that bandwagon rather than try to provide an informed opinion.



Here's the issue: check EVERY RRoD thread we've had here on VGC. Every one. Provide me with a link to where ONE person stated their 360 was a Falcon, and it RRoDed.

Guess what? I've read every RRoD thread, and for the live of me, not a single X360 owner on these forums has ever stated their 360 was proof-positive (by a simple check) has the Falcon modifications. So when someone has an older, faultier X360, and gets jumped on and told not to buy one, when the evidence is rather compelling that the newer 360s are just as reliable as a Wii and/or PS3 (as both have their issues, albiet very minor), I find it rather stupid when the owners of those consoles come here, and start bashing the systems, when as far as we've seen from this forum, and others, that the Falcons largely fixed the problems.


So exactly what do you want from us? Allow 360-bashing to go on inside the Microsoft forum? Would the moderator of your choice allow that inside the Nintendo or Sony forums?

MS has known about their reliablility for years. They don't care about any of their users, South American or not.


Buy a good console next time , you probably knew of the RROD issue before getting it. Next time make a safer bet.

Maybe MS sent you that code over Wi-Fi that makes you send in your 360, so they can send you a new one and count it as a "unit shipped."

I suggest selling it and buying a PS3.

So what, from your standpoint, are we supposed to do, again, in the 360 forum when the first few posters are certainly biased against the 360?. I'd love to hear your insights on that. The 360 owners, on VGC are certainly in the minority, and get jumped every time for every single little thing about the 360 (well, aside from the games).

Perhaps avoiding extrapolation of anecdotal evidence, refusing to make up failure rates, and not flame-baiting by encouraging use of a competing console will help.

So whats the deal with the RROD? If MS fixed it then the only bad thing you could say about it is that its louder than a ps3.

I thought they were fixing it back in the begining of the year when they were saying they had supply shortages, but i havent heard anything since. Anyone have any new info?

 Don't forget the poor dvd drive quality, live downtime and disc scratching.

However, like I said before, fixing the rrod issue would help solve most of MS's image problems and satisfy customers. Just look at the poor chap above you missing GTA4 launch because of it

Attempts to "lighten the mood" should be accompanied by something humorous. You were trolling. And Gebx, I know you were mocking his post but that's still not appropriate. Both of you cut it out.

OT: People jump down others' throats over the RRoD because frankly, people are sick and tired of hearing about it and after watching Stickball absolutely make an ass of you with your own quotes thrown back at you in this thread, I don't blame them for attacking you in the MS forum. You weren't trying to resolve anything, you were just throwing fuel on the fire. And then you the audacity to start a completely pointless thread in the gaming forum as if you were some innocent bystander who was attacked.

Get over it. If you don't like people in the MS forum, stay the hell out. That goes for all manufacturer forums where people go just to stir shit and break up rational discussions going on between owners of said platform. Those forums are for owners of that console and reasonable discussions about those consoles. Remember that you are allowed considerably less leeway for trolling in those forums.

Everyone, tone it down or this thread is locked. It's pointless enough already but I'll let it continue if people can keep it civil.
