Kinda weird to specify that it's retail when that's the only version being sold.
I’m gonna take a wild guess and say that Dynasty Warrior 9 Empires is gonna finally take 1st place next week finally knocking Pokémon out of it (specifically the Switch version)

If you combine all version sales maybe but D8 empire pre orders were higher and sold combined 50K(PS3/PS4).
This time combined sales(switch/PS4) could be under 25k.
The Switch's downfall this holiday season is just a little strange to me considering the OLED and Pokemon this year compared to Age of Calamity last year.
OLED this week isn't even bad with it increasing on the week, but the other models are lagging behind now.
I am sure there are some shipment problems, but Nintendo always struggles to supply enough to Japan during the holiday season.

When you've sold 100 million eventually you get to a point where the amount of people that want Pokemon and don't already own a Switch to play it on starts to become limited.
Consoles will always peak and then decline no matter how strong your line-up is.

It is not just Pokemon though. New models usually improve sales for a time. But this OLED ended up as only a small boost.
Switch at 94% weekly market share.
PS4 outsold 5:1 by a system discontinued over a year ago, RIP.

I wouldn't be surprised if the PS4 gets discontinued in the next 2 months. It's doing bad everywhere, same with Xbox One.
