It's silly it just clutters up the awards, there should be just the standard awards that we are used to, if they want to add other more esoteric awards then they should use them in a pre award show with Trunk's hosting ,it seems from this thread he would like that.

It had some good reveals but overall the TGA's are way too long.

Oh yeah Ratchet. Tbh, I didn't think that was going to take it. Its usually the one that causes the most buzz and R&C didn't really move the needle for a lot of critics/reviewers; other than its a solid entry. I certainly didn't expect the winner to.. er win lol. Personally not played the game but heard its a really good.

Anyways time to sleep lol

I was expecting Metroid Dread or Ratchet.

It had become quite the media darling since it's release and combined with a lets stick it to the man attitude that has been developing also helped Take Two, now those reasons don't mean it doesn't deserve its win, it just a form of eyebrow raising since were used to the usual suspects winning.

What I got from this TGA:

Alan Wake II - I have no words. Played the original in 2012, and it became one of my favorite games ever.
Sonic Frontiers - It looks like a very ambitious Sonic game, and the visual is stunning.
Final Fantasy VII Remake for PC - Finally!
And some other announcements with minor impact.

It Takes Two winning GOTY was really unexpected....

2022 is going to be stacked with the amount of games coming out. Starfield, God of War 2, Horizon 2, Elden Ring, Dying Light 2, Breath of the Wild 2, and many more.

Only care about Bayo 3 so far.  May not have shown it in the TGA's as a lot of games were omitted for unknown reasons but 2021 was amazing.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

But those didn't go long enough and most importantly Trunk's wasn't hosting it, also it would have shortened the main show by having it concentrating on more relevant awards, also concerning your AI question, if all these years on VGChartz have taught me anything it is your attempts at humour are a dead giveaway that you are an AI and also being a Nintendo class AI I was surprised you were being overwhelmed by the game awards.

PS On reflection I shouldn't have been surprised, since the same Nintendo Class AI is responsible for their online services.
