#37 - It was controversial for having a time loop, where you keep reliving the same period over and over for the whole game.

Majoras Mask.

More hints;

#35: People already live here even though this building is still under construction.

Hint 2: And they work there, shop there, eat there, go into the subway there, go to the doctor there, and more things.

#34: You must keep the pope happy or else the inquisitors will come for your family.

Hint 2: Those guys are pretty unfair. Your characters need to have a really high piety to survive if an inquisitor targets him.

#35 - SimTower?

Correct.

I actually thought the other game would be guessed more quickly.

I'm so glad we still have 30+ days to finish this. I'm playing some games right now I'm certain will make this list, just have to beat them, score them, and see where they fall (Age of Empires 4, Echo Generations, Metroid Dread at least should all be done by the end date).

More hints:

#35:

  • The main character's mistake at the start of the game leads to the death of his mother after she saves him from drowning.

#33

  • Lord of Calamity
  • Is set around a 1000 years before the previous game in the series

More hints, because im trailing behind now. Adulting is difficult.

#42:

Hint: In this non-God of War game, you can fight Kratos as a secret/optional boss.

Hint 2: The main character's weapon is the very first word of the game's title.

#39:

Hint: In this PS1 game at times you play segments as the main villain, who happens to be "the other half" of the main protagonist. Two parts of a whole, lets say.

Hint 2: This is the 4th entry of this awesome, but sadly defunct, franchise.

#38:

Hint: Primary colors become precious metals in this sequel games.

#37:

Hint: I learned what the word "Lacrimosa" means because of this game.

#36:

Hint: This lovely SNES classic RPG got a remake last year. It was... good enough I guess.

Ok, I sent my list in, so now I can give some hints.

50.  This game was unavailable for purchase for several years, and it didn't exist in physical form either.  However, it's back now, and I just recently obtained a physical copy for of it for Switch thanks to Limited Run Games.

49.  A common legend about this NES game is that it saved a certain well known company from bankruptcy.  In truth that was probably hyperbole.

48.  I haven't played this Switch game in the past year, and it's the first it's appeared on my list.  But I bought it again recently, because I really wanted a modern game that had gameplay similar to my #49 game.

47.  This is a GBA game based on a classic manga character.

46.  This game features a very popular character, and it doesn't exist anymore.

48. Dragon Quest 11

47. Astro Boy

48 was already guessed.  It's Octopath Traveler.

47 is correct!
