True colours?

The idea that betrayal and threats leads to bad feelings isn't exactly a difficult concept to understand. It's common sense.

We have Americans in this forum. They're not saying what you claim they're saying.

I'm going to be more blunt than the others here, because it's obvious you're full of a shit.

Your reasoning is based on being closer to the issue and knowing more about it. Well you're from Germany and I'm Canadian, aka Murica Lite, so.

As for the Americans here, everybody knows it's a rarity to hear a Rep speak up, whether that's because they're keeping quiet or a tiny minority.

As for the Americans who do speak up, they knew Trump was a joke in 2016 and didn't stand a chance, that he was a Russian operative, that he believes the far right are "very fine people" or that 'drinking bleach' cures Covid, that he'd never have a chance of winning again after 2020, that Biden was fine, that Kamala had the edge, etc, etc, etc.

We know one of the biggest reasons why so many independents or center left voted for Trump instead, is because they now saw what the left as a whole had become and didn't want to be part of it. Trumps words and actions caused that to become clear, because of things like the 'foundational principal' of political correctness getting tossed out the window to try and destroy Trump. Now whether they actually like Trump and think he's totally right, or whether or not they're teaching the left a lesson and trying to force them to move back to the center, that's harder to say, but it points to the same cause. When you hear the phrase, "Trumps not the cause, he's the symptom", this is what they are referring to in general. Nobody likes a cough, but it won't go away unless the cause get's taken care of.

This is also why so many Canadians who voted Con are baffled about this election outcome. Trudeau wasn't the cause, he was a symptom. Carney is just another symptom. Until the cause get's taken care of, Canada is going to have to put up with it.

I'm going to suggest you be less blunt, because that's uncalled for. You're free to your opinion, but try to be more civil about it. "You catch more flies with honey than vinegar". You should also broaden your horizons. "A healthy diet goes a long way".

I'm not sure who you think you're fooling, but I wasn't born yesterday. If you want me to be less blunt on why I called you on your bullshit, then I'll take a sharper approach this time and remind you why I lost my patience for civility.

Here's your assertion as a refresher: "Trumps being aggressive and kind of a dick to the world because it's causing other Countries to show their true colors."

To which I responded "True colours? The idea that betrayal and threats leads to bad feelings isn't exactly a difficult concept to understand. It's common sense."

So, here's your rebuttal: "Your reasoning is based on being closer to the issue and knowing more about it. Well you're from Germany and I'm Canadian, aka Murica Lite, so." If you see me as a foreign resident, and you as an authentic Canadian, then how the fuck do you conclude that I'm closer to this than you are?

Now I'll explain how I knew the bullshittery of your anecdotes. First, you talked to some American friends, no one else here can verify anything about them, but coincidentally, they have the same faulty logic and common-sense-failing arguments you have, and the same absurd conclusion. And it's not just the anecdotes themselves, but also how they fly in the face of what we have verified. I'll add that the intricacy in which you explained the positions of these "American friends" and motivation was handled with all the grace of a novice writer who doesn't understand POVs yet. You don't read minds.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

The Canadian dollar is strengthening against the USD. Over the past 6 months the CAD has risen from 68 cents to the American dollar, all the way up to 73.5 cents. Sharply reversing the downward trend the CAD had on the USD during the Biden years. This comes after Canada picked up a lot of the US's broken deals from China, the UK, the EU, and Latin American countries.

Trump is breaking deals.

Carney is making deals.

The USD is weakening more though, dropped 11 cents against the Euro since Februari. From .96 to .85 now.

Carney is also making (keeping) the wrong deals ffs :(

The trend continues. The LPC continue to increase their support while the Cons continue to erode:

Now cons score in the 30-35 range, and the LPC are clearing 45. This means the gap has widened to the point that the LPC is getting about 30 to 50% more support than the Cons. Interesting enough, NDP is gaining increased support at the same time.

But there's more to the story:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion_polling_for_the_46th_Canadian_federal_election#Leadership_polls

At the time of the election, Poilievre had 39.3% support for PM, and Carney 46.9%. Over the last two months, Poilievre's support has collapsed, dropping to 28.9% at the end of May, and 22.9% at the end of June. Polling also shows that support for Carney is high: 52% approval and 25% disapproval. But the previous poll forced an opinion, and while this brought the disapproval up to 33%, it also brought the approval up to 67%.

3:30 - 5:30 (most relevant)

Making or breaking means nothing without context of why and the positive or negative outcomes.

I've made plenty of deals in my life as well. Should Canadians make me P.M. because of that?

And the Canadians here are saying........ what?.....

Who are these other Canadians you're speaking for? More imaginary friends.

My post clarifies further how you're full of shit. But, if you want to exchange school grade insults, then feel free to blame your argumentative shortcomings on your apparent reading comprehension disabilities.

The only thing I want to say to the Canadian government is... please stop polluting my fucking air down here with your wildfires. Rant over.

You're welcome for helping you out with the LA fires.

But yeah we all should do something about climate change, US and Canada still pump out over 14t of Co2 per capita.

Fire smoke map today :/

Kinda need our forests to be able to continue breathing!

At least you asked who and not what. Good call!

You know, those living in igloo's up north, upset now that our leaders cancelled Starlink so we have no way to send for help with all these fires.

Who are the supposed people you are speaking for again?

By school grade insults you mean?.....

Good news, here's one of the plans to help deal with that:

Don't worry though, it's just one of a bunch we're getting lined up!
