Yeah, my "Pearl" also had a MSRP of 5000 USD, but I got it for half of that a year later

I believe that would be my complete in box copy of Zelda's Adventure for philips CD-i. Not even sure how much it is worth now, but it was valued at 400 USD like 5 years ago. I cannot seem to find it anywhere to see what it is selling for these days, but the other two Zelda games on CD-i (Faces of Evil and Wand of Gamelon) have more than doubled in value in the same time frame, and Zelda's Adventure is A LOT more rare than those two.
So with that in mind, it is probably worth more than my Series X.
EDIT
Yep I was right, this has an average resale value of 526 USD, narrowly beating the retail price for the Series X. It is worth noting that in 2020, a complete copy sold for 800 and 999 USD as well, and there is currently no copy I can find today...so take that as you will.
The only current market deal they have listed, and I was able to find on my own, is just the demo disk (which is rare in its own right, but not the same).

One of the rarest knife/s and item in the game, worth several hundreds last time I checked. Got super lucky with my drop, first chest opened lol. Hardware wise its the PS5 or my monitor which funnily enough, cost the same. |
Metal slug 1,2,3 AES and Garou AEs. Maybe, the rest of my neo geo games too and pc-engine and saturn games is very salty
I have prehistoric isle 2 is very expensive too.
and other Neo Geo AES games. The unique 3 pieces of hardware and bunch of games I have a collection. The rest go to sale.
And have one notebook, one PC for games, Switch and Ps4 now, nothing so expensive than Neo Geo AES games.
Last edited by Agente42 - on 02 August 2021My Strix 3080 GPU. I bought it for $1200. It now costs $2700 CAD. That one part alone costs more than the rest of my components put together and believe me when I say, the rest of my components such as a 5950x CPU and Asus Dark Hero motherboard are expensive as well. So it really says something about the state of GPU prices on PCs as if it were normal times, the 5950x should have costed about the same as my Strix 3080, maybe slightly cheaper.
If we are excluding PCs, probably my ipad pro 12.9 inch M1 miniLED. Costs about $1700 CAD.
PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Kizuna Encounter ( europe) and Super Sidekick 4( ultimate 11) are very rare games for AES. Have few copies for sales and prices go skyrocket every time. The cheapest I see was $6.500US
No PC?
I guess the phat PS3 was the most expensive at $599. It is dead though.
HTC VIVE PRO 2 paid $750 current sells for $800. VR 99% of time I spend in it is either exercise or gaming and even exercise is playing games. I not into the social side and while there a neat factor trying it once for a movie I still much prefer watching a movie in my home theater setup. Therefore I think I can consider it a gaming item.
Got computer parts worth more then $750 but don't use them exclusively for gaming.
Just for kicks I started looking up all my strategy guides that are new (untouched or unopened for collector editions). The one I thought would be worth the least seems to be the more rare. It's the 2010 Nier strategy guide (new). Amazon had 4 used listings starting at about 500 running up to 650 us dollars. Ebay had 2 very used versions the better being two hundred and something dollars and one guy trying to sell one for 2000.00. I could not find a new one to price it out.
I'm gonna say that's probably the item, but I would take it with a grain of salt.
...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

It's a shame 4K projectors were pretty much non-existent when 4K tvs started to come down in price already. I paid the same for a 52" 1080p LCD tv the year before (2006) yet 4K projectors were only available as 4096x2160 and 20K or so. There is more choice today, yet not much in the 3840x2160 LCD range. Most are DLP or 4096x2160 LCD. Weird (I see rainbow effect from DLP, very distracting)
Anyway, I play on a gaming laptop nowadays, tastes change I guess. The projector has been sitting idle. The amazing contrast of 4K HDR has put me off projectors.
This looks nice

yet 20K and 4096x2160, no HDMI 2.1 (max 60fps), projectors are behind tvs nowadays.
My Switch I think
PS4 is cheaper than Switch here
Edit: My PC is more expensive than both, but I barely use it for gaming
