Forums - General Discussion - Real life animals that could pass for Pokemon.

What are some real life animals you can think of that could very well pass for Pokemon?  Here are my picks:

The Armadillo

Did you know the armadillo's shell is made out of its own bones??  That's so Pokemon-like.

The Electric Eel

It's a fish with electrical powers.  'Nuff said.

Thorny Devil Lizard

I mean just look at that thing.  Need I say more?

What are your picks?

The Volgelkop birds.

Clear dark/flying types.

Tufted Coquette

I don't know what type it would be, flying/fire maybe?

Venezuelan poodle moth. Obviously Ice/bug.

Pika.

Literally the real life inspiration for Pikachu

Even its name is ridiculous. 'Vogelkop' just means 'bird head' in Dutch.

That moth is adorable, had no idea that existed.

Funnily enough, the moth also has no idea that you exist.

Shoebills. They even have the name.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

The Mantis Shrimp. Not only does it look incredible, but it can also punch with the force of 2,500 times its own body weight! Perfect for Pokémon. I think Water/Fighting would be its types.

I am not a moth expert (shocking!) but I believe the one in that pic is a fake/toy.
The actual venezuelan poodle moth is still adorable tho.
