I don't think E3 is the best place to announce something like that.

My guess is either a game reveal, the rumored deal with MSoft to bring GamePass to Steam, the announcement of SteamPal, their Switch-like portable PC, or... well, or maybe nothing new. You never know with them.

Why does Gamepass need to be brought to steam in the first place? Just so people can get achievements (who cares) on Steam? Or so they can have access to their steam friend list? I don't understand.

Also, if they showed off SteamPal and Nintendo showed off Switch Pro both in June that would be insanity lol. SteamPal would be buried alive and forgotten about more quickly than steam link and steam consoles were.

I don't know why they want GamePass on Steam, but if both sides are interested, there must be a good reason for it.

SteamPal has a lot of unknowns, more so than the Switch Pro, so who knows if it will be owrth our money or not. In any case, I don't think they'll compete with each other, their audience is not the same.

"And a message from Valve regarding Steam"

Hmm, I wonder what this could be? Curious if they will address the 30% cut thing, or if this is related to software/hardware?

I'm sure they will release some game. Either something small or more VR experiments. Half Life Alyx was a surprising hit, after all, maybe the will do something like Portal VR? That would be nice to see, though I can't imagine how to apply VR to Portal beyond the basics.

Also, now that we're talking about Steam, do we know when does the Steam Summer Sale start this year?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

We'll have a Steam Next Fest on June 18, and the Summer Sale is rumored to start almost one week later, from June 24 to July 8.

Summer Games Fest is Geoff Knightley's thing, isn't it? The Warner Bros. presentation might be just B4B but there's a chance something from NetherRealm pops up on Thursday instead, and maybe that's what they meant. Same with Elden Ring being there instead of Tuesday... maybe...

We're in the days before E3, everything is "maybes" and "hopefullies" and "my dad works at Nintendo" leaks.

So no real Warner Bros. showcase for Summer Game Fest / E3. They are only showcasing Back 4 Blood.

That sucks.

I mean, we know NetherRealm has been working in something big that isn't Injustice or MK for a while, and they have announced their previous game with Geoff Knightley.

For the poll, I voted Nintendo but Xbox/Bethesda is a close second because in my eyes it's basically the last chance they have to get me back on board. I'm excited to see what may be and what absolutely needs to happen in order to not walk away from the show disappointed. Nintendo will almost surely bring at least Smash Bros characters and updates on some of the games we know are coming but need more info on (Zelda, Bayonetta, Metroid, No more HEroes, Super Mario PArty 2, etc), and they usually have a run of indies and smaller games, so that's what I'm most excited for, but it's Microsoft I'm most interested in seeing. Because if they fail to bring us anything...AGAIN...then I just don't see the brand recovering.

Basically, anything short of 2+ hours of nothing but back to back exclusives with actual gameplay and proposed release dates is going to be a disappointment. That's what they need to stay in the race, as far as I'm concerned and I'm 50% convinced they'll pull it off. Because they have to. So far we've gotten plenty of acquisitions and game name reveals with minimal info and no real solid release dates on a tonne of Xbox stuff, so they have unlimited potential but almost no concrete information aside from 'Halo infinite should be coming out soon, I guess; oh, and we have Bethesda so we'll probably show something Starfield/Elder Scrolls, too.'

Point is, Nintendo and Microsoft are the two I'm most interested in. Nintendo because even if all they show is a new smash character I'm likely to fist pump over it, and Microsoft because so, SO much hinges on their presentation that it has to be good, right?

Show is not even two hours, and having those expectations is just setting up for disappointment. And clearly when all Nintendo needs to show is dlc smash character to get your "fist pumping." You've already shown your bias. Btw, we good, you can stay off board.
