Forums - Movies & TV - Whatchu Watchin?

Went to see the new Nosferatu. Not really 100% sure how I feel, but I did like it overall. Its a beautiful movie and the acting is great, but there were a few things I wasnt a big fan of. Like the jump scares. Just loud noise and scary face. At least some of them were kinda creepy though, unlike Longlegs which just relied mostly on loud noises like someone suddenly closing a book. Cheap jump scares.

I probably need to watch it again, but still not sure if I want to anytime soon. I feel like the movie is too long and simply not very scary. It has its moments for sure, but I expected something different than what I got I guess. More creepy atmosphere and less jump scares would have been great. Bill Skarsgård is excellent as Count Orlok though. I would never have guessed it was him if I didnt already know.

Watched "Dune Part Two" via Netflix

Loved it, more enjoyable than the first one and felt more like the original 1980s one which I loved.

Cant wait for Part Three next year :)!

Spoiler!
Considering which characters we meet mid-credits in Sonic 3, I hope this music is used for the final battle in Sonic 4.

So far a decent story. Kind of reminds me of Spy X Family with its humor and style of storytelling.

But who will play Metal Sonic? Would it work with just Ben Schwartz's voice modulated to sound creepy and mechanical?

I'm sure they'll find someone.

Anime update as of January 12th 2025.

Better Man: I knew almost nothing about Robbie Williams going in but the trailer caught my attention. The impressive vfx, endearing narration, and Rocketman-esque musical setpieces elevate this above conventional musician biopics and keep it entertaining throughout. It's a familiar story, but still one worth watching.

Recently watched Silo S1. Fully caught up on The Legend of Vox Machina, Squid Game, Secret Level and Cobra Kai. Finished What We Do in the Shadows, Chucky and Arcane. Now back to games but I think by the end of the month I'll watch Silo S2 and start/finish Shogun and Foundation as my next few watches. Was hoping to get From S3 in too but not sure I'll have a place to watch it.

I love Silo. Recently started the first season on a whim and got caught up (one episode left to air on season 2) in less than a week. It's up there with Severance, Shogun, and Arcane for my favorite newer shows.
