Ar Tonelico: 5/10. The game features alchemy like Atelier games, but unlike those most items are obtained from shops and enemy drops. To get the best drops from each enemy the games forces you to play battles in a certain, slooooow way. Economy is unbalanced and you'll be short of money through all the game. I forgot how many times I did the infinite money trick in the latter half of the game.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Just Finished: Gravity Rush Remastered (PS Now)

What a delightful game. I originally tried playing the game on Vita back when it was offered as a PS Plus game a few years back. I got about halfway through before giving up. I'm glad they brought this game to PS4. It really deserved another chance. The gameplay was easier to handle with a TV screen and Dualshock controller rather than the Vita and motion controls. The art style is charming and Bluepoint did a great job polishing the graphics to HD quality. The game's length feel just right. Not too short but not too long. It's a nice small scale take on open world gameplay. The premise is phenomenal. Controlling the gravity powers is so fun and freeing, it is a wonderfully unique concept. The camera has some issues and the combat isn't stellar either. The missions tend to devolve into a repetitive fight against the enemies. The music and story are winsome as well. Kat is an appealing heroine. The game shows some of its budget limitations with the comic panel style storytelling. The game is one of the best examples of the Vita's legacy. I miss Japan Studios and hope that Sony continue to produce quirky games like this. I'm happy to know that there is at least a PS4 sequel that I plan to play some time next year.

8/10

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Resident Evil 5 (single player): 4/10.

Street Fighter II Special Champion Edition (Mega Drive): 8/10.

Super Monaco GP (Mega Drive): 7/10.

Ar Tonelico: 5/10.

Kirby's Adventure: 6/10. Kirby goes down ledges by tapping down so he can't crouch on them. Said command can't be mapped to down + jump because down + jump is the slide, which can't be moved to down + attack because apparently it's extremely important that down + attack does nothing. Double tapping to run in a platformer kinda sucks. Lives are reset after turning the game off, so earning extra lives isn't very exciting. Minor framerate issues.
