Who decides where the game accolades account for?

Sad to see more original content like 13 Sentinels effectively ignored because reasons.
Runa216 said: Of course Sony is dominating....the 5 of the best games of the year are all Sony games or currently exclusive to the PS brand (FFVII Remake, Demon's Souls, Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part 2, Persona 5 Royal). If I was to make a prospective top 10 based solely on Metacritic ratings and awards, half of them would be PS4 or PS5 games. |
To be Fair, TLoU2’s userscore is extremely skewed due to review bombing by trolls upset by the leaks. I understand many people didn’t like it, but it’s a pretty established fact that the majority of negative user reviews were from people that never played it. If I’m not mistaken, it had almost 10K negative reviews within seconds after launch. Bit odd for a game that takes 25+ hours to finish.

TLOU2 is a great game. I think it is my favorite game of the year, with a little bit competition from Doom Eternal. But, the fact that TLOU is dominating so heavily speaks more to the fact that this was not a particularly great year for AAA blockbusters, as opposed to it being some spectacular masterpiece. There were plenty of good games, don't get me wrong. But, there just wasn't much competition for the top spot. Weakest year in a while, in that respect.
Its so nice to see a masterful body of work getting the credit it deserves in TLOU2.
The Last of Us 2 is by far the most impressive game on the video game market. My gratulation!
Ghost of Tsushima is also fantastic and the game of the year in the Japanese gaming industry.
"The Last of Us 2" is officially the Game with the most Game of the Year Awards in video game history worldwide, voted by millions Players and Magazines. My Gratulation :) My personally Dream-Game is "Ghost of Tsushima".
