Gamefreak doesn't believe in Nintendo Switch success.

If them, an exclusive first party developer, dont believe in their hardware to the point that they threw half  unchewed product to customers, then who's gonna believe in the system ?

I think that they've become uncopetent since the 3ds generations and are seeking only profit and dont even Care about quality at this point.

No, i did not mean doubting your words. i was pointing to the fact that they were the ones to beleive in switch and make games that'll let customers believe in the system, and not the other way. For a first party devolper, it doesn't need conditions to believe in the only and unique platform they'll be developping for, it'll be understandable coming from a third party one, but from a first party one it's absolutely dumb.

Pokemon main source of revenue is not games. It has been like that for over a decade now. There is absolutely no hope for Pokemon games becoming any better

The moment I realized that was the moment I dropped my fandom and allegiance, I only hope other fans drop the franchise in the same way so they can be free of being deluded every year

Of course, the fans who like the dreadful state of Pokemon games are alright, I'm talking specifically about people who complain every single generation of how weak are Pokemon games compared to other franchises

What's the status of GameFreak now? It wasn't that long ago that it wasn't an exclusive first party developer; it could and did make games for other platforms (Tembo the Badass Elephant).

But if I recall correctly, didn't it recently move into the same building with internal Nintendo studios? I'm too lazy and don't really have the time to look it up right now, but I know GF definitely changed offices to be closer to Nintendo HQ. I doubt this will have any impact on Pokemon's development, but the slight optimist in me hopes it means that some of the experts from EAD will stand over the GameFreak dev's shoulders and give them some pointers.

Their last non-pokemon game got a 64 on Metacritic and haven't sold a thing. Tells a lot about how bad is this studio

yeah, I know. I want the illustrate my point. The pokemon company sees the market like everyone: smartphone kill portables.

Great Sword and Switch Axe trailers posted:

The final weapon trailers; Charge Blade and Hunting Horn:

All in all, looks like a great and varied lineup and I look forward to trying out ones I never gave a serious go before like the Bow, Charge Blade, Gunlance, Bowgun, and Insect Glaive.

They overhauled the Hunting Horn weapons, they finally have their own identity rather than just being alternative hammers that give buffs.

Yeah I never found the Hunting Horn appealing before but I might actually give it a try now.
